Due to continued rail operation at Lakeside Power Plant, Port Washington Power Plant, Cold Spring Shops and East Troy, a variety of work, freight and maintenance. T survived into the preservation era. Much of this equipment remains today, though some has been scrapped to "harvest" mechanical parts for passenger car restorations. A rail grinder, used to smooth the rail surfaces.
