City Wants High-Tech Traffic Control. Posted by Columbus Transit On June - 28 - 2010. The City of Columbus wants to invest $36.8 million to purchase a high-tech system that would give traffic controllers direct access to coordinate traffic lights across the city. When traffic backs up because of an accident, congestion, or re-routing, traffic controllers could change lights with a flick of a switch to get cars moving more quickly through intersections. COTA Offices Move Downtown. By 1914 the Columbus str...

Richard Kulisz: You Means I
http://richardkulisz.blogspot.com/2015/07/you-means-i.html
Systems Designer, specializing in Anarchist Democracies. Monday, July 06, 2015. What could identity = equality = I = ego = self possibly mean in the context of group identity? Well, it means that You = I. For most people, the word "you" means I. And it's actually possible to hear that meaning when they use it. And no, I'm not talking about narcissists, that would be too fucking obvious. It's noticeable when these people ask "where do you rewind the video? Where the FUCK do you find the fucking rewind?

Wandering Urbanist: 07.2010
http://mylrt.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Roaming cities and urban places, with rural interludes. Spending most of the year in Eugene, Oregon, summering in the 'burbs of Austin, Texas. It's also a lot harder to keep in shape; when living in Eugene, I could just ride my bike around town, exploring, or going shopping; here, the only roads are two-lane highways with 60 mph speed limits, which I'm a bit wary of biking on. In point, there are days I can't wait to go back to school. I'm bored out of my mind here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wandering Urbanist: Update from Eugene

Roaming cities and urban places, with rural interludes. Spending most of the year in Eugene, Oregon, summering in the 'burbs of Austin, Texas. Decided to update the blog; been a bit of a long hiatus recently due to moving to Eugene, Oregon to attend the University of Oregon and major in Architecture, with architecture studio being a lot of the reason for having so little time to blog. Spending multiple all-nighters working on models is not a conducive environment to write in. Yes on Sound Transit 3.

Richard Kulisz: Character Rape
http://richardkulisz.blogspot.com/2015/07/character-rape.html
Systems Designer, specializing in Anarchist Democracies. Friday, July 03, 2015. So, I'm reading this author I despise, for lots of different reasons. Not least that it's from him I learned that Gaians have exactly four responses to other people. It's even a life cycle. You start by making friends then you end it by murdering them. But just because I'm ready to despise his stupid plot lines doesn't stop some of his stories from going beyond the pale. And that's where character rape comes in. This is the c...
