home is where your skis is

Home is where your skis is. It's the small things that count. Day to day. Shrimp Boat: Small Wonder. The Hills of Idaho. If you don't listen closely it sounds like 'Idaho.' And with place names like Plymouth and Cascade, and words like "westward," you could easily pass it for "Hills of Idaho." The Bay of Biscay gives it away, as does references to sailors. It's worth a good hum, though, and it's still a nice place to land. Vetiver: Hills of Isle Au Haut. I will be back. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Obvious maybe but in this year of winds blowing cold and fast and non-stop straight down from the top of the planet it is better to leave nothing assumed. Anyway, lava rock makes for good hiking. Goal #2: Fly, don't sink. Silence in the noise?

THE TRAVELING SIX

Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Ford and the other kids played soccer out on a dusty field - while the others stayed up on the hillside passing out suckers. After a dusty long ride home and a stop at a local store (somewhat like Costco) to buy food for lunch tomorrow (making sandwiches for 200 kids) we came home to pizza ordered in from Pizza Hut! I am amazed at how the kids have picked up some new incredible friends. It is a great joy to see everyone laughing and loving each other! Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
