Michael, Michael, you will be missed… | The Twenty Something Mom

The Twenty Something Mom. Michael, Michael, you will be missed…. June 25, 2009 in arts et cetera. Ok, so complete shock in the King of Pop’s passing. I think the rest of the world feels the same, as almost every cable news station is streaming coverage of this untimely passing. We’ll also miss Farrah, but I feel bad that, while a star in her own right, she’s being almost completely overshadowed by the bigger star here. Michael, you were supposed to last! An all new low. Have I crossed the line? On Michae...

Baby Music | The Twenty Something Mom

https://thetwentysomethingmom.wordpress.com/baby-music

The Twenty Something Mom. Music exposure is a tremendous tool in parenting and child development. As a musician, I am a HUGE advocate for babies listening to music ALL. THE. TIME. Seriously. Wake up to it. Fall asleep to it. Dance to it. Play to it. Sing to it. Learn to it. Children should be exposed to varying kinds of music if its soothing, calming, and helping them to think happy thoughts and generate positive emotions. In my opinion, ideal categories for this are classical, bluegrass and new age.

Have I crossed the line? YES | The Twenty Something Mom

https://thetwentysomethingmom.wordpress.com/2009/11/26/have-i-crossed-the-line-yes

The Twenty Something Mom. Have I crossed the line? November 26, 2009 in balance. It’s official. I’ve become MOM. Yep, not just a twentysomething mom, but an all out MOM. It’s been a long time since I’ve written about life in the world of young parenthood, but now’s the time to start up again. In the past few months, I’ve left my Great American corporate job-with-benefits to stay home and spend time with the children. What, you say? But why the sudden reality check of mothering? BOXing Day. Where you ...

The Twenty Something Mom. An all new low. November 28, 2009 in arts et cetera. I flourish when I’m busy. I work well under pressure. But everyone has a saturation point. Imagine this: the day after Thanksgiving; that fateful Black Friday that I’ve been all too delighted to avoid. I light a candle to fill the home with the delicious artificial scents of the holiday season, slump into the couch with my favorite Country Living magazine, and wait for my guests to arrive. 8220;Mommy, oatmeal and eggs? 8221; &...

All the pretty colors. Newer posts →. November 2, 2008 · 3:35 pm. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Growing up, my mom was sure to deck my room fit for a princess. We didn’t have a ton of money, so I know what a sacrifice it was for her to purchase the whole brand new Bassett bedroom furniture set with a full-size canopy bed, a dresser with vanity, a chest, a night stand and a desk and extension with bookcase hutches. That’s right my friends, I tried to think of the piece of furniture I was lacking and how I...

MANIFESTING SINCE FEBRUARY 27 AT 1:38 pm. Lately, I have been hearing an awful lot about how bad marriage is. I’ve never experienced it, so I’m willing to take the naive plunge. All the pretty colors. December 22, 2008 · 5:15 pm. Tweet Tweet said the Bird. This week’s master jammer is Andrew Bird. Local Chicago guy has got the music – in a phrase –. He’s a multi-instrumentalist. Great on the violin, and my favorite, he’s a fantastic whistler. Bird popped up on my Pandora. Station months ago. I’ve been rockin out to his tunes for almost a year, but didn’t pay him too much attention until a friend of mine Jake-a-saurus Rex. Said, “Hey, check out Andrew Bird.”. Keep it up Birdman.

Thought #24 | THE HUMAN MANIFESTO

https://humanmanifesto.wordpress.com/2009/02/13/thought-24

MANIFESTING SINCE FEBRUARY 27 AT 1:38 pm. Would some please tell how networking became a necessary evil? It is just plain evil to have to endure an evening with people. You wouldn’t want to work with in order to find work. I just attended a Media Bistro event, and it was horrendous. People only. If it’s anything like what I witnessed tonight. I rather stay under the covers. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.

Family holiday gatherings and a massive rise in work at work, I have had no time to get all over this blog. I will say this. I’m making MagNeatos like crazy and will be giving them out as wedding and Christmas gifts this year (as promised below). I’ll post pictures of the final produits later on. Rock it. thetwentysomethingblog | being in our 20s is awesome, so let's gab about it!

Being in our 20s is awesome, so let's gab about it! What’s the Big Idea Here? Hi, I’m Stephanie! Wine-Induced Ramblings on “The One”. October 20, 2012. But, I’m starting to fear that maybe it doesn’t happen for everyone. How many people out there end up with someone who isn’t The One. How many people settle for second best, and may never know it? For as firm a believer as I am in God’s Plan, what if His plan means that The One and you aren’t meant to be together in this life? Someone who, when you’...

January 2, 2016. I have one of those friends. You know. Friend, I’m sure you have one too. She’s the person that posts what you think is a rhetorical question on Facebook, only to request your response to the question the moment you like her post. Did I expect anything less? Well I’m actually quite pleased that she did, as it has made me reflect on this year in a way I previously wouldn’t have. What are your victories from 2015? Where I did make an impact or a lasting change for others or in my own life?
