A little progress – enjoying collage. | Pigment Storm

Watch the ink fly! A little progress – enjoying collage. I’ve found a way to glaze with paper. Really enjoying what you can accomplish with paper that is not solid (Holy tissues Batman! Haven’t quite decided how I’ll proceed with the head and face yet, but the figure is decidedly super hero (ish) minus the tights. Watch the ink fly! Will have to experiment with lighting options for this series of work if it stays as is. This is the second in the series. Still deciding whether I leave them white. And a detail shot so that you can see some of the texture up close:. By eraethil on September 9, 2012. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Stage 3 | Pigment Storm
https://eraethil.wordpress.com/2012/06/16/734
Watch the ink fly! Had a great critique of this painting by Allen Ball at the SWCA meeting on Monday. I was pleased to have suggestions from Allen and another friend that confirm my intentions. Suffice to say, I’m feeling in the groove again so time to share some progress:. By eraethil on June 16, 2012. 2 Responses to “Stage 3”. This is incredible. Paintus Interruptus | Pigment Storm

Watch the ink fly! Now I still haven’t decided. That is my prerogative as an artist, after all. So I’m working on a small series of these. If I like them enough in this sculptural white on white form, I’ll sign them. If not, I’ll do something more with them…. Here is a detail shot:. By eraethil on September 1, 2012. acid & zinc: prints to work on
http://beth-sobel.blogspot.com/2008/03/prints-to-work-on.html
Friday, March 21, 2008. Prints to work on. Today I printed a copy of the portrait of Aung San Suu Kyi, and a few copies of an absolutely tiny butterfly plate. The butterfly plate is only 1 3/8" by 1 7/8", and it's printed in prussian blue. I haven't decided on a title for it yet, but I will be doing an edition. Evening the background a little, burnishing out parts of the face shading, and fixing the ears. Hope you all have a wonderful, inspiring weekend! Let's go print some more, right off! Hi Beth. ...

acid & zinc: March 2008
http://beth-sobel.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 31, 2008. Lots of work, no results. This last week has been a lot of work with no results! Since I have no printmaking photos, here's a photo of henna instead. I did this one last fall. ;). Sunday, March 23, 2008. Etching is a printmaking process dating back to the 15th century, using metal plates and pressure to make images. Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt, Goya, William Blake and Picasso all made etchings, as well as countless other artists through the centuries. First, the metal plate. The met...

acid & zinc: April 2008
http://beth-sobel.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 11, 2008. I think I finished up a couple of plates, but I'm still mulling them over a bit. I have a handful of unfinished ones that are proving to be a bit of a struggle still. Here are the two I'm thinking might be done, in any case. We also got down to Skagit Valley to see the daffodil fields, and hope to return to see the tulips some time this weekend. This time I'll bring along my little tripod so the photos are less blurry! Thursday, April 3, 2008. Art advice from long ago. So that's w...
