Sit Down, Please. – The Wandering Texan

https://thewanderingtexan.wordpress.com/2016/09/15/sit-down-please

One year in the other down under. September 15, 2016. Sit Down, Please. Once I had a landed back in Panama City, I decided to try my luck with Uber since I felt that the city was safe. Then the unthinkable happened, the same guy that I had hired as my private transfer to the airport a week ago showed up as my Uber driver. What are the odds of that happening? Then we continued to the rest of the two hour jeep ride, followed by an hour boat ride only to find ourselves in paradise. Our little hut village.

The Calm Before the Crazy. – The Wandering Texan

https://thewanderingtexan.wordpress.com/2016/09/05/the-calm-before-the-crazy

One year in the other down under. September 5, 2016. The Calm Before the Crazy. The rest of my days on Bastimentos were much calmer than that. They were spent island hopping, exploring the various beaches, and attempting to do some stand up paddle boarding. At one point I did end up taking a bat cave tour which made me seriously wonder: beginning of a horror film or backpacker adventure? After four nights at Bubbas it was time for me to move on and see what Bocas Town had to offer! Enter your comment here.

Well that was a strange conversation – The Wandering Texan

https://thewanderingtexan.wordpress.com/2016/09/07/well-that-was-a-strange-conversation

One year in the other down under. September 7, 2016. Well that was a strange conversation. 8216;Uhhhhh one time I made my own ice cream at summer camp’. I stayed silent and soaked in the bizarre experience. Later that night it was time for the pub crawl and man was I excited to be around people! I knew it was there. What was I expecting? After our walk it was time to try wake surfing. What’s wake surfing you ask? Say yes and risk them getting really upset over it, or just say no and hope they calm down?

The Wandering Teacher

The story of a woman who rarely stays in one place long enough to grow her hair! Sunday, 3 February 2013. It's been a long time since I posted on this blog and I haven't officially closed it, so here is my last post. I don't do much teaching now, although funnily enough I've been engaged to teach some young people next Wednesday morning. So thought the Wandering Teacher didn't describe me anymore. I've been taxi driving for the last year, for instance. ;-). I now have a new blog over at Wordpress. But it...

Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Any work of art that can be understood is the product of journalism." - Tristan Tzara. Through out my life I have been thinking about journalists more of attention seekers than anything else. I just saw them as the "annoying fly" that is just pestering throughout the day. It is amazing how wrong I was. Maybe I was just bias because of all the " craptacular. Performance of journalists in Mexico. Sometimes it was just too painful to just sit and read the newspaper.
