But alas, I digress. Saturday, January 25, 2014. Sewing project: portfolio case. Here are my fabrics. I had the slate blue and white stripe from the sewing expo last year. The yellow is a home decor fabric and the black is classic twill bottom weight. I cut the fabric I wanted for the outside pocket/trim one inch wider than 1/2 of the first rectangle. Next I cut two rectangles of the interior fabric the same size as the first rectangle. Now I've finished off the edge of what will be the front pocket.

We found a little serpent friend while taking pictures! Bonus: Here's a really silly picture! It was windy so there are probably a hundred pictures of me spitting hair out of my mouth. But I thought this one was really funny. Labels: 300:Rise of an Empire. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

But alas, I digress. Friday, October 10, 2014. And I mean that in the actual physical pumpkins from a pumpkin patch sort of way. Not in the pumpkin flavored everything sort of way. Fortunately I've managed not to over-dose on pumpkin flavoring yet this fall so it's still ok in my book at least. Anyways, we went to the pumpkin patch today and brought home some lovely squashes. They get to be whole for a while as we figure out what exactly we're going to carve on them. Here. That's all for now.

But alas, I digress. Friday, November 15, 2013. Sweet 16th: not happening this month. As stated in the title, I will not be posting a sweet tomorrow for the 16th. Because, well, I'm writing personal statements for grad applications. I have to say, personal statements are the hardest thing to write. Someone accept me at a university and give me a research paper! Anyways, later in the month I'm planning on making bacon caramel corn, so there's that to look forward to. Monday, November 11, 2013.
