Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: Pawn Shop
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009/03/pawn-shop.html
Sunday, March 29, 2009. Imagine you are exhausted, blind, and don't speak any czech with all your possessions stolen, including my passport. That was me. So I'm headed to Berlin instead of Russia. Maybe we should back up a few steps. Haha i just used an abreviation in a blog. wow. Anyway after that I headed back to the hostel for a nap, which was quite easy since the public transportation is great. I dont really want to get into all the details of what was missing since it is a long list, but i lost my b...

Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: Inoculated City
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009/03/inoculated-city.html
Monday, March 9, 2009. Some highlights of the trip-Going to Yoga at the JCC with my mom. Those jewish women really know how to stretch it out, and I am always impressed by my lack of flexibility and the sheer length of my legs from the ground every time I go. Plus, its one of the only times my mother can tell me im doing something wrong, and how to fix it (ha! Ron and I rented a U-haul for the afternoon in order to fix the roof on Bertha, who I am proud to report is up and running. Battle Royale - Josh v...

Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: Revelry
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009/04/revelry.html
Sunday, April 19, 2009. Where we left off in Turkey. Just the Sultan and his son; talk about some intense family bonding. The next morning was spent on a satisfied note. We had a wrap up session evaluating our academic and tourist visits and spending a couple of last hours together. On this trip we truly saw a cosmopolitan 21st century Istanbul, full of relics from its centuries-old history. May 1, 2010 at 9:26 PM. It was a dream trip. I will go to Istanbul. May 1, 2010 at 9:28 PM. Is a great city.

Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: January 2009
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. I catch a cab home (I could not wait two hours outside in what I was wearing), talking to this really nice turkish man who has seven children and spoke maybe 9 words of english. 770 kroner later (around 150 dollars), Im home. I hope you understand the next day I stayed home and watched movies all day. . And lets hope next weekend is less adventurous. Monday, January 19, 2009. 160;Danes prefer hostels to hotels for their relative comfort and affordability. While Clai...Orient...

Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: February 2009
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Alot has happened in the last week, so I will run through it really quick. At some point soon I will get back to enjoying blogging, but some recent occurences in my life make such things seem insubstantial, so bear with me. I built a 6 inch snow man. Not as much snow as new york. I ate 4 falafel, and they were all delicious. What is the plurality of falafel? I lit some candles at the local cemetary. Everyone deserves to be remembered and honored. I got an eyebrow piercing wi...

Sunday, April 12, 2009. Where we left off. Http:/ www.banksy.co.uk/. Besides sleeping, I decided to do laundry and take it easy. I found out my bag from Bulgaria was missing from the airport, so I had to fill out missing baggage paperwork with Czech airlines. While this was a huge debbie downer, after I got back from turkey they had found my bag, thank God. And I am proud to say I got onto the plane to turkey rested and on time! April 18, 2009 at 3:59 PM. Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: Postcards from Italy
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009/03/postcards-from-italy.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. I think I just had one of the most amazing meals of my life, all for under 20 dollars. OK so today was just grinning walking around this soviet turned bohemian paradise and eating and drinking like a king for cheap. Still, I have enjoyed the solitude, and look foreward to my day tomorrow. I plan on exploring the old jewish quarter, the smetana family (my mom's side) has pre-WWII roots here, and then exploring the old Prague castle built in the 4th (or 9th? Friends Blogs and Links.

Battle Royale - Josh vs. Europe: Paris Is Burning
http://battleroyalejoshvseurope.blogspot.com/2009/03/paris-is-burning.html
Friday, March 13, 2009. During my studies here in Copenhagen one of my academic focuses has been immigration and integration in a Danish setting. I thought I would share with you some recent thoughts and observations (albeit not all my own) that make immigration and multiculturalism in Europe unique. First off, some facts:. 160;-Denmark is currently 8 percent Muslim, mostly immigrants over the last couple decades from North Africa and the Middle East. 160;Unfortunately in November of 2004 Theo van Gogh ...
