Each year on Flag Day, Wetumpka s Smith-Leonard VFW Post 4572 provides an opportunity for people to have their unserviceable American flags disposed of properly. This year s flag disposal service will be held June 14 at 3 pm at the post, located on Otter Track Road. The annual ceremony is conducted by members of the VFW and its ladies auxiliary. The service will include an explanation of the proper way to fold a U. flag, and the banners will be burned in a fire pit behind the VFW building.
