Notes and observations from the farm. A little dust in the air! And so it begins! It's nearly 5 weeks later than usual, but Dennis and Jon got some tractor time in today. Round Up application on the dryest field they could find marked the official start of spring work. Hopefully Mother Nature will get the memo and cooperate! A Delayed April Fools? ...notes and observations from the farm: March 2011

http://thewheatfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Notes and observations from the farm. I'm failing miserably at meeting my resolution to blog on a weekly basis. SO. after following a friend who joined "NaBloPoMo" and posted everyday for an entire month (! I thought, "Ok. I should really give this a try! So here I am. Oh- and by the way, "NaBloPoMo" stands for National Blog Posting Month. which really isn't a particular month it's every month! The best part is, they give me a PROMPT! And the prompt for April first is. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Notes and observations from the farm. My Inner Control Freak. I don't know. Maybe to a degree. But I really think it just comes from a desire to control. When so much of my life spins out in the dust while I watch from the window (figuratively speaking .for the most part! I get a sense of calmness when what IS within my control, is controlled! Does that make sense? Some of the organization will last all year, some will last until morning. but for now, I am a happy woman! Welcome home, spatulas! Norm and ...

...notes and observations from the farm: School Supply Shopping!

http://thewheatfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2011/04/school-supply-shopping.html

Notes and observations from the farm. I am a sucker for school and office supplies! It's probably part of the reason I became a teacher! Things have come a long way since the PeeChee, retractable 4-color ballpoint pens, and the Trapper Keeper! The rainbow of colors and patterns that tempt me seem to change every time I stop at Office Depot, Staples, or the office supply section of Wal-Mart! Today, I hit the motherload! Yes it's an addiction. But there are worse things to be addicted to, right? Our Great ...

Notes and observations from the farm. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TYLER! It's hard to believe that the 9 pound bundle of boy we brought home 11 years ago has grown into a 115 pound bundle of energy! We think he's a great kid. caring, kind, funny, strong, smart. It's strange to think we only have 7 years left with him under our roof. Where does the time go? Long time- no post! The only reason I'm awake now is because I'm waiting on the washing machine. I really need to switch loads one more time before going to b...

Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Yesterday was the first day in . well I can't remember, that we got to stay home all day! The rain was nice and held out for parts of the day so we were able to get in some great outside time with Love Bug. She is on Vacation this week from Grandma's barn, and Kdub is LOVING every minute of it. Rocky did not like it when Love Bug tugged on the halter and made Kdub dig her heals in. He made sure to stay close to keep an eye on things. Come on Love Bug. Back in the stall. After a...

Saturday, July 21, 2012. We had a group of kids in the annual Farmers Fest Parade to help promote and raise funds for Relay for Life. JP and Kdub love throwing candy in the Parade :). Now that the Kiddie parade is done it is time to watch the rest of the parade and catch candy. For a fundraiser for our team we sold lemonade, iced tea, baked goods, and luminaries down at the park. Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Here are some pics from some Soccer games. Kdub and JP were on the same team this year. There were 4 total K-1st teams this year. It was so fun to see the change from JP last year to this year. The Kids were so excited that their cousins got to come watch at least one of their games! If only we could have flown AJ in all 8 of their cousins would have seen them play a game. Lucky kids! Posted by A Busy Life. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Toni Grow Photography Web Site.

http://wheatkids.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Final Harvest Post for 2011! Kdub loves to deliver the treats from the snack cooler to the crew. Our neighbor came and helped us harvest for a day and JP decided to take a little trip in the green combine. It took some convincing but once he learned there was an actual seat in there he thought it would be okay to have a short ride. Getting in one last ride with dad this harvest. Everyone coming back for the last few cuts of harvest. And another harvest is in the books!

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. While we waited for brother to get home from school dad put Kdub to work washing his Quadtrack. When JP got home from school on Friday we loaded up in the car to make our annual Pinwheel deliveries. First stop was for Grandpa Bob. The ground was a little tough so dad had to help get them in. Next stop was for Grandpa Bud. On our way to town to meet up with the boys we stopped at Grandma C's to show Liv Love Bug. Grandma was nice and made up a new bottle for the girls to feed her.
