Tuesday, November 21, 2006. It Won’t Be Long Now. Pretty soon now, I’m going to be digging a grave and saying good-bye to Gibson. Gibson is only eight years old. It seems so unfair that I have to lose him so soon. His litter-mate, Tinkerbell, who has never been without him, will mourn as much as I. Daisy, who adores Gibson above all others, will mourn him most of all. It didn’t take more than a day or two before the kitten were climbing through the chain link fence into my yard. They were so ti...Every m...

The Willow Does Gary Oldman: “Murder in the First”
http://thewillowdoesgaryoldman.blogspot.com/2007/07/murder-in-first-1995-director-marc.html
The Willow Does Gary Oldman. Tuesday, July 10, 2007. 8220;Murder in the First”. Starring Kevin Bacon, Christian Slater and Gary Oldman. This is one of the most painful movies I have ever watched so let’s just get this over with right off the bat. Now let me be clear, this movie is a beautiful piece of work. It’s the subject, the story line, that makes it difficult to watch. Based on actual events, “Murder in the First”. Henri is released from solitary confinement after three long years of torture and dep...

catlady: Horse Slaughtering in America
http://catladysblog.blogspot.com/2006/09/horse-slaughtering-in-america_22.html
Friday, September 22, 2006. Horse Slaughtering in America. Each year in the United States close to 100,000 horses are sent to the slaughter house. The horse meat is shipped abroad to be sold as specialty meat for human consumption. In addition, thousands of US horses are shipped to Canada for slaughter. There are only 3 horse slaughtering facilities in the US and all three are foreign owned. But not until 2007! Regulations also allow horses to be transported for 28 hours without food, water or rest.

Monday, September 25, 2006. Daisy in the Garden. One June morning, as I was sitting in the kitchen drinking my coffee, I looked out into the back yard and saw, curled up on the roof of my garden shed, a tiny silver kitten. She was sleeping in the sun curled up in a tiny little ball. As the weeks went by, the kitten became more comfortable in my back yard and I would see her sleeping in the flower beds, playing in the azalea bush or chasing bugs across the grass. But she was still completely wild....On th...

The Willow Does Gary Oldman: "Criminal Law"
http://thewillowdoesgaryoldman.blogspot.com/2007/07/criminal-law.html
The Willow Does Gary Oldman. Monday, July 30, 2007. USA Release: April 28, 1989. Starring: Gary Oldman and Kevin Bacon. Directed by: Martin Campbell. Now's a good time to talk about "Criminal Law" because Encore Mystery. Will be showing it on August 26th. Is this how a person in the 'real world' would act? In this scene. And Oldman plays to his charcter so beautifully that any flat feelings you were left with from previous scenes completely dissipate. I won't go into great depth on Kevin Bacon's performa...

The Willow Does Gary Oldman. Thursday, October 18, 2007. The Shame of “The Scarlet Letter”. I’m not going to put up any pictures for this post. No pictures of the DVD cover, no promo pictures – nada - because I don’t want to encourage you to see this movie. If, after reading this review (such as it is), you still feel the need to inflict this piece of crap on yourself, don’t say I didn’t warn you. By Nathaniel Hawthorn. “Freely adapted? We also see evidence of Dimmesdale’s inner torment in scenes w...
