Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Back to Back: Part I. Still playing catch up on the blog. The first of night of their visit, Erin and I sat outside enjoying the nice weather and a few cocktails. The boys were up to no good and spent most of the evening cruising the neighborhood on our new tandem bike! Conor and I are very excited about it. She needs a paint job (we're thinking candy red) and few other things done, but she runs just fine! TJ looks like the happiest boy in the whole wide world! That night we to...

Friday, August 12, 2011. Okay, I know that my blogging has really been lacking lately, considering my last post was in June. It's just that we've had quite the busy summer. Over the next week, I'm hoping to get caught up on all of our Summer fun, including our 1st anniversary! But before I sit down and really map out our last two months, I thought I'd share my recent reading list. Great House by Nicole Krauss. Wicked by Gregory Maguire. The Thorn Birds by Colleen Mccullough (an old classic). Now if only ...

Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Cheers to 30 Years. Conor and I recently made a trip to Spokane to help my parents celebrate their 30th anniversary! Since this is a big milestone, I decided to throw a cocktail party in their honor. We invited a few of my parents close friends and asked if they would send us some pictures from the last 30 years to contribute to a surprise slide show that Conor and I were putting together. Wow did we get some great pictures! We were at least successful at that! The rest of the ...

Thursday, May 31, 2012. It's time to share my package of goodies from my May Foodie Penpal! My box was sent to me. By Toni from runninglovingliving.com. Toni sent me a box filled with snacks ready to eat. Just like last month, I dug in right away. I have no idea how she stayed under the $15 limit.apparently she's quite the savvy grocery shopper! Once again, I was horrible about taking pictures, I have this one of the whole stash. One of my favorite items was the Bear Naked Fit vanilla almond crunch grano...

Monday, March 28, 2011. Shh, We're Hunting Wabbits. March 17th, 2011, what a wonderful in so many ways! 1) St Patrick's Day: Who doesn't love a reason to eat corned beef and cabbage and party 'cause/like you're Irish. (2) March Madness Begins: A day many people play hooky to stay home and watch college basketball! Watching my bracket fail almost immediately. not so fun. (3) Our friends from Delaware, Quinn and Karen, arrived! However, our waiter was quite a boisterous, slightly obnoxious, 20-something wh...

Wednesday, March 14, 2012. A tree, hot dog stand, presents, and pickles! In an effort to catch up on this blog, I'm putting all of December into one post. The month absolutely flew by and seemed like a blur. As per tradition, Conor and I got our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. However, this year there would be not trip to the pub for some cider beforehand. :'( Conor thought I was crazy for decorating our house for Christmas even though our movers were arriving on December 20th! We weren't plan...

Monday, April 30, 2012. It's time to share my first treats from my Foodie Penpal! My box was sent to me. By Jona from zee lemons. Jona sent me the most amazing stash of snacks; I was very excited to dig in. She sent some orzo, tea, a nutella snack pack, and homemade granola (with the recipe). Yes, homemade. She’s good like that! Along with my box, Jona sent a very nice card. There is something to be said about receiving a handwritten card, and I just love receiving mail in general! Does she know how many...

Sunday, November 27, 2011. Trevor Cross is the New Rick Steves. My long time friend Trevor Cross spent this last year living in London, so I called him up to get suggestions on things to do. We talked and talked and talked; he had so many great recommendations, and not just your typical tour-book must-sees. he even mixed in his personal favorite, off the beaten path, recomendations! As if I wasn't excited enough, Trevor got me even more energetic about our trip! We walked off our lunch on the way to Shak...
