Thirty Days in Argentina. It’s been a week since I left Argentina, and though I miss Buenos Aires a lot, I miss all the people I met there even more. It has been weird…. The Best Laid Plans…. Yesterday, Sam, Katie, Laney and I had plans to go to Colonia, Uruguay. But we got lost trying to find the ferry terminal and missed the boat–literally. I was really,…. Out and About in the City. Today I skipped class (hey, I have to put at least one of my two freebie absences to use! The Most Amazing Weekend Ever.

Lions and Tigers and, uh, Monkeys! Oh My! | Thirty Days in Argentina

https://thirtydaysinargentina.wordpress.com/2012/07/10/lions-and-tigers-and-uh-monkeys-oh-my

Thirty Days in Argentina. Lions and Tigers and, uh, Monkeys! This morning, Katie, Laney and I headed out to the Lujan Zoo. Before we got to the bus stop, we stopped for breakfast at McDonald’s. Because breakfasts here are generally very small, it was literally the best breakfast I’ve had here so far–an egg, ham and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel. What was the scariest, you ask? Not the lion. Not the tiger. But the monkey. Why? 8221;–“I’m scared! Older: A Fun Start to the Weekend. You are commenting...

The Most Amazing Weekend Ever | Thirty Days in Argentina

https://thirtydaysinargentina.wordpress.com/2012/07/16/the-most-amazing-weekend-ever

Thirty Days in Argentina. The Most Amazing Weekend Ever. On Thursday night, we left for our weekend trip to Iguazu Falls. This is the excursion that I have been looking forward to the most, and it definitely exceeded my very high expectations! Despite being stuffed, some of us played kickball afterwards and then relaxed in the sun. Then it was time for another bus ride–this time three hours–to Puerto Iguazu. Afterwards, we went to a bar with really bad service but really great mojitos. What a wonderful e...

A Fun Start to the Weekend | Thirty Days in Argentina

https://thirtydaysinargentina.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/a-fun-start-to-the-weekend

Thirty Days in Argentina. A Fun Start to the Weekend. Friday night was pizza night, so for dinner Elda made several different kinds of pizza. One was a caprese pizza, one had zucchini, but my favorite had arugula and some other veggies on it. So good! Then, Lee, Sam, Laney and I went to a really cool microbrewery called Antares. It was a lot of fun, and the atmosphere is awesome. Realizing that the McDonald’s had wifi, we just looked up a bar–and it was only .17 miles away! Older: The Halfway Point.

Social Issues, Dance, Relationships, Writing. Skip to primary content. I’m A Terrible Feminist. December 7, 2014. When do you poke someone and mention that you’re a feminist? Guys, it’s 9:30 in the evening! One of my female coworkers deadpanned, You mean jokes about rape just aren’t funny? Damn right they aren’t. I just started reading.
