This is such a pity. Thursday, December 18, 2008. Almost one year ago I stated I was still alive. Well, here I am again, stating the same. When I left Copenhagen in June, my eyes were a little bit wet. It was a great time there and I got the chance to meet wonderful new people who I can call friends now. And I was very lucky because I caught one of the last train that ran from Cologne to Bonn. A friend of my flatmate had to sleep at our place because he wasn't so lucky. Where I vainly prattle on about my life. Thursday, April 16, 2009. So, I've been killing my considerable downtime at work these days reading a blog, The Non-Consumer Advocate. Basically, a blog about living extremely frugally. She goes so far as to buy nothing new but consumables, and she drastically limits her purchase of those, too. November 11, 2011. Exactly three weeks from today I will step on a plane bound for America; my year serving in South Sudan will be finished. I have mixed feelings about this but every day I'm becoming more and more excited to go. To wit, some of the things I've missed about America, and a few that I'm not particularly looking forward to. Family and friends. Duh. Cheese, specifically mozzarella. Being able to buy anything I want, any time I want (within reason, of course). Cheese, specifically cotswold.
