Hand-made button badges for the discerning consumer. Tuesday, January 22, 2008. These were birthday gifts for my best mates, so I had to wait until they'd been received before I could post them here, though I made them just before Christmas. I am trying to find economical, effective ways of packaging the badge sets. This was my first foray, plus an additional experiment into painted fabric buttons (just the top two of each set). Hopefully when baby-land settles down I will go into gentle production!

I have fine-tuned the shape a little, narrowing across the shoulders, taking off some length and closing up the neck-hole slightly. I'm quite happy with this version, and will make more like it. For those who change their life aspirations more than they change their socks. Monday, August 13, 2012. A new homewares brand has started up in Hobart: smith purton. We design, screenprint and make (okay, we outsource the making to someone who knows what she is doing with a sewing machine! Funky homewares such as tea towels, cushions, textile wall banners and crafter's fat quarters, with children's and adults' aprons, and new cushion and fat quarter designs to come later this month!
