Tuesday, November 27, 2012. They wouldn't be boys if they weren't making a fort. Clearing out Trev's room to make the guest room. This actually made me pretty sad.my baby is no longer a baby. The Wahrmund Family: May 2012
http://wahrmundfamily.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Ocean waves, sunshine and a warm breeze.a perfect way to spend the day! For whatever crazy reason, I had this wild idea to take my family to the beach. Its not like in Washington state where the coast is only about an hour away.to get to the actual ocean beach from where we live, its about a 3.5 hour drive, if traffic is good. And also unlike Washington state, the beaches here are packed! Traffic was flowing nicely at 9 AM. Jay trying his best to enjoy himself. Thought I would be...

The Wahrmund Family: Home Improvement, Part 2
http://wahrmundfamily.blogspot.com/2012/12/home-improvement-part-2.html
Thursday, December 13, 2012. Home Improvement, Part 2. Like every project we tackle, it never goes as quickly as I think its gonna go.weekend project? I no longer cringe when I go in there. At this rate, we could do the entire house! If only the landlord could get on board and front the money.ah well. This was fun and we now look forward to freshening up the half bath on the main floor at some point. How hard could that be? The prep is always the most time consuming. My beloved "Shaker Beige".

The Wahrmund Family: June 2012
http://wahrmundfamily.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29, 2012. Once again, Facebook is responsible for connecting me with some old friends. I haven't seen some of these people since 1998 when I left the IRS in Seattle and transferred to IRS-Criminal Investigations in Eugene, OR. Who knew we'd meet up again 14 years later in a little pub in Washington, D.C! I didn't work directly with these guys, we were just all part of the "IRS posse" that hung out together outside of work (back then we were the "young" crowd). Old friends are the best! This ...

Monday, December 31, 2012. At the airport waiting. Boys thought we were picking up one of Jay's friends, it was a total surprise when they saw Auntie, Uncle and Cousin Max walk out of the terminal. Leaving the airport with my family.such a joyous feeling! The thing the boys love about cousin Max is that she always plays Wii with them, so Uncle brought the Wii and they started playing as soon as we got home that night! And headed two hours south to visit the quaint town of Colonial Williamsburg. Been sayi...

The Wahrmund Family: Jay's Christmas Party
http://wahrmundfamily.blogspot.com/2012/12/jays-christmas-party.html
Thursday, December 13, 2012. The National Command Center Christmas party was our first official Coast Guard function in years and we had a great time. We met his coworkers in DC at a restaurant called Fogo de Chao and it was an awesome experience. All you can eat, any cut of meat? En route via the metro into downtown DC. After you make a trip to the beautiful salad bar, you flip your card over to green once you're ready and the waiters just start coming with the meat. Posted by Wahrmund Family.

The Wahrmund Family: Home Improvement, Part 1
http://wahrmundfamily.blogspot.com/2012/12/home-improvement-part-1.html
Friday, December 7, 2012. Home Improvement, Part 1. At this point, I really questioned my reasoning and my sanity.it wasn't coming up easily and I had a whole border to remove! Who has time for this? But I remembered during our Northlake remodel, removing all that wallpaper my parents had put up was a breeze (tedious, but easy for the most part) once the spray-on fabric softener had a chance to soak in.I just needed to be patient. Alas, it peeled right off! Ahhh, my blank canvas :). This is how I see God.

Here we go again!: Five Thoughts on Livin' in Farm Country
http://normandeausonthemove.blogspot.com/2011/12/five-thoughts-on-livin-in-farm-country.html
Here we go again! Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Five Thoughts on Livin' in Farm Country. Random sheep pic I found. 1) There's no need to rush. I should have gotten a picture of this! The other day while driving into town (Ronan) I was stopped by a herd of cattle crossing the road. A few miles later, I saw a small burgundy Toyota Corolla herding a bunch of sheep. The farmer was in his car and the sheep were crowding around and following his car. Who knew sheep would follow a car? This calligraphy was hand...
