With so many things to do, Downtown LA is the perfect place to get a little bit of everything. I grab my dog Bella and a friend, and we head to the city. We park at Pershing Square. Where we get to enjoy watching the families ice skate, and head up to Etchea. Bella stays at Bark Avenue for a nap while we head to The Last Bookstore.

My ideal December day Downtown would be a quick trip on the Gold Line and exit at the Little Tokyo stop for a nice bowl of ramen at Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen. To warm my bones. Then a stroll down the street to XLanes. To bowl a game or two and visit some of the shops in the Little Tokyo Marketplace. If it’s a sunny December day I would head down to The Perch. Then off to Maccheroni Republic.

When I get them to come Downtown I like to take them to the craft cocktail bars because there really aren’t any good ones in the beach area. I work at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. So my friends will park at our garage on 7th and Olive. We will usually have a cocktail in Invention. Then have an uber. 1 – Rivera. Great small plates and craft cocktails). 2 – Cana. 3 – Honeycut. 4 – 7 Grand.
