The Year of Joe: Breast Cancer 3-Day
http://theyearofjoe.blogspot.com/2008/06/breast-cancer-3-day.html
Dear family and friends,. This year, I'll be participating in a very special event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day. From November 21st to the 23rd, I'll be walking 60 miles up and down the San Diego coast over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Thank you in advance for your generosity! Amanda's...

Listen To The Music. Just got back from a great concert in Solana Beach: Justin Nozuka. It was my first time seeing Justin live, but I've been a big fan ever since I discovered his music. In fact, I recommended Justin on this very blog almost exactly a year ago. So glad you're blogging again! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). John's Blog (Don't Mind Me, I Just Live Here). Rambler Restoration: May 2011
http://atlasshrugging-atl.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 5, 2011. Has it really been 2 months since I posted? Man how time flies. Luckily I have my pictures to remind me where to pick up from. Let’s just hope I can remember enough to write more than just the picture's descriptions. So…hi. Umm… oh yes! The engine was picked up by Bobby the machinist…. So it’s 11am and I’m in the shop with a car that will not be running for a couple of months. What’s next? Guess who left the trunk keys at home? Tip #238: When removing a gas tank, make sure you driv...

The Year of Joe: Excerpt from "Abstinence to Zoloft" (chapter "Seven Years in Tibet")
http://theyearofjoe.blogspot.com/2009/08/excerpt-from-abstinence-to-zoloft.html
Excerpt from "Abstinence to Zoloft" (chapter "Seven Years in Tibet"). Happy Friday, y'all! Here's another short little excerpt from my book-in-progress, "Abstinence to Zoloft". The following is from the chapter called "Seven Years in Tibet," which is about my dating life (or lack thereof) from 2001 to 2008. It's also a period in my life that I like to call "the lean years". From that tidbit to the title of the book, I think you can see where I'm going with this. Date #2 is exceeding expectations. This pl...

The Year of Joe: Excerpt from "Absintence to Zoloft" (chapter "The eHarmony Chronicles")
http://theyearofjoe.blogspot.com/2009/07/excerpt-from-absintence-to-zoloft.html
Excerpt from "Absintence to Zoloft" (chapter "The eHarmony Chronicles"). Hello, ladies and germs.I come bearing gifts. Okay, a gift. At the suggestion of my editor Charlie - geez, I never thought I'd ever use the term "my editor" in my entire life! I decided to throw my proverbial trap into the ocean. All I had to figure out was which ocean I was going to ultimately set sail on. I surely wasn’t going to use something as simple as the Yahoo! Personals. As a. So I signed up, dropped my credit card down for...

The Year of Joe: 29 Dimensions of Compatibility, My Ass!
http://theyearofjoe.blogspot.com/2008/02/29-dimensions-of-compatibility-my-ass.html
29 Dimensions of Compatibility, My Ass! DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! He's Neil Clark Warren. Actually, he's a schister.a snake-oil salesman.a con man.a fraud.need I go on? Five days in and I might have just put an ad in the Union-Tribune asking for rodeo clowns, because the people Dr. Neil Clark Warren and his crack-pot team over at eHarmony thought were apparently amazing matches for me have instead caused me to go into greater depression and start to double-lock my doors at night. Dear God, kill me now.

Rambler Restoration: Not a writer
http://atlasshrugging-atl.blogspot.com/2011/02/not-writer.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. It's a good thing this blog is about a car, otherwise I'd feel like it was a diary. So here I was, again, with a free upgrade. We didn't even have to wait in the regular line to get in. With our "All-Access" passes hanging around our necks with O'reilly Autoparts sponsored lanyards, we just went in through the owners section. Boo-ya! We hung out for a bit and then went on our way checking out the rest of the cars. Scheme, but the pattern and mesh will definitely be the inspira...

IronMax: 2011 Ironman Western Australia Post-Race Report
http://ironmax2011.blogspot.com/2012/01/2011-ironman-western-australia-post.html
Wednesday, January 18, 2012. 2011 Ironman Western Australia Post-Race Report. I guess it’s about time for a post-Ironman report, eh? Besides having very little time to write while touring the two fantastic countries of. As well as having really limited access to wifi, I don’t think I had the right mindset to talk about what turned out to be an extremely difficult event. Now, a little over a month later, I can look back more positively on that REALLY long day! Although the plan was to have gone to bed by.

The Year of Joe: Great White Hype
http://theyearofjoe.blogspot.com/2007/02/great-white-hype.html
I was in line at the grocery store and noticed whitening chewing gum. Now I've known about this product but I've never used or nor have I thought much about it. Standing in what was the slowest moving line ever assembled gave me plenty of ample time to think about it. Who the hell chews gum with their front teeth? I chew gum with my molars but I've never once said to myself "Geez, I wish my molars were whiter." Isn't it the front teeth people get bleached? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
