8th Street Bridge: January 2014
http://www.8thstreetbridge.net/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 16, 2014. You may notice a few changes here on the blog, particularly the name and URL. I've decided to change everything over to 8th Street Bridge (to coincide with my Etsy Shop name), just to make things simpler for myself. I'm still working out quite a few kinks, so bear with me! Be sure to update your bookmarks to the new URL! But, with it also came SNOW! It was also their cousin, Brady's, first time in the snow. He's a native Ohioan, but was never able to truly play in it until...
8th Street Bridge: Happy Additions {to the Master Bedroom}
http://www.8thstreetbridge.net/2013/04/happy-additions-to-master-bedroom.html
Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Happy Additions {to the Master Bedroom}. Back in November, Jason and I rearranged our master bedroom. The end result was a wonderfully open and more functional room that was able to better suit the needs of our family. It finally had a purpose. And became a place that we enjoyed being in, as a couple and. It's been a slow process in decorating the room the way that we want it to look. Slow and steady wins the race, right? That I wanted one. I needed one! I found it on clearance at...
8th Street Bridge: Aidan {Our Big 5 Year Old!}
http://www.8thstreetbridge.net/2015/03/aidan-our-big-5-year-old.html
Monday, March 2, 2015. Aidan {Our Big 5 Year Old! Five years have, indeed, flown by! My little man is no longer a toddler or preschooler, he's a BIG BOY! Last month, our oldest son had a birthday. And I'm still in denial about the fact that he's FIVE! I, unfortunately, did not do an update for his fourth birthday, but I was determined to do one for his fifth! I sat him down and asked him some questions about a few of his favorite things and here's what he had to say:. 2 Favorite Color: Purple! So, the da...

Thursday, February 19, 2015. Realize Your Dreams- Handmade Shop Love. Friends, the day has come. Something I've dreamed about since I started up my little handmade shop. A dream I've worked hard for. As of this week, my items are being sold in a real brick and mortar shop! While I love selling my crafts on Etsy. Id love to ...

8th Street Bridge: November 2013
http://www.8thstreetbridge.net/2013_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 1, 2013. All Aboard: The Polar Express is BACK! Last year, I had the privilege of taking my boys (and a few of our friends) on the Polar Express! It was an experience that I'm sure they'll never forget it! The little ones loved boarding the train (clad in Christmas pajamas), finding the perfect seat and watching the conductor come by and punch all of the tickets. Once the engine blew and train pulled out of the station, the real excitement began! Interested in this magical experience?
8th Street Bridge: December 2013
http://www.8thstreetbridge.net/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 6, 2013. Connor is 2 Years {and 3 months} old! In early September Connor turned two! It was a happy, yet sad milestone for me. He is my baby, and while I'm glad that he is growing up and is a healthy, intelligent, troublesome little boy, I'm sad that his baby days are over. We had originally planned on having a party for him, but I was plagued with extreme fatigue during my first trimester. As a result, we decided to just have a fun family outing to celebrate his big day! On Sunday we al...

Sunday, March 15, 2015. DIY Tulip Wreath {Welcome Spring! Last week the cold snap that has consumed Northeast Ohio finally snapped! Temperatures were in the forties and on Friday the thermometer even jumped above 50 for a few hours! It is amazing. The birds are singing their joy, the snow is melting into a million little puddles and the sun is shining in all of her beautiful Springtime glory. So, to celebrate the end of this eternal winter, I decided a new wreath for the front door was in order! Last mon...

This Messy Business
Wednesday, May 27, 2015. I've Got a White Space, Baby. Look at this, three posts in a row! I am so proud of myself! I hope that my #BBFF Sam @ Away She Went is also proud of me. Hi, friend! For instance, the paint on the beams of my carport. I have officially, as of this month, owned my house for 7 years. In that time the beams and structure of my carport has never been painted. Even though I paint the deck every year I guess going outside of the fence is where I draw the line. While I was at it. I p...

This Messy House - Adventures in Vermont - It's Not Where I've Been but What I've Learned. - News
It's Not Where I've Been but What I've Learned. Yeah I've been gone a good long while but like "the dog ate my homework", I've got a good excuse. I had a job. The kind with a time clock. I did say "had." I guess they discovered I didn't really like Rush. So why am I here, blogging, anyway? I mean, don't I have anything else to do? Of course I do. I had to get my oil changed on Scott.aka the big red truck. We purchased Scott back in October of 2010 from Capital City Auto Mart. Back to my oil change. 10:00...

This Messy Nest | attempting to unmask the Divine in my everyday mess
Attempting to unmask the Divine in my everyday mess. I almost missed it. June 19, 2014. February 22, 2015. Over the last few days I’ve been remembering the last 10 months of Lincoln’s life. It surprised me that he was this close to turning one. And the fact that I was surprised, surprised me because I’ve spent the better part of the last 10 months wishing away the days until he wasn’t a baby anymore and we could move on with our lives. I almost missed it. Follow Blog via Email. Enter your email address t...

Messy Thrilling Life
Postpartum - The Second Time Around. Every time someone asks me how this postpartum time has gone, I want to burst into tears.because it's been so great. Let me preface this all by saying that obviously having 2 under 2 initially (and now having an almost 2.5-year-old and 7-month-old) has its unique challenges, and some days are just hard. But this second-time-around scenario is night-and-day different from my postpartum period after Story (you can read about that here. There are a few reasons:. After th...

Sunday, October 14, 2007. It's two thirty in the morning. There are three marked cars around the trailer, four patrolmen and a patrol Sergeant. I talk to her thirteen year old brother who says "Yeah , I threw that brick through her window. I did it the other two times too.". Why did you do that? Cause she made me mad. She put my game in her car.". He goes on to tell me that he knows I can't do anything. To him because he's a juvenile. The dim lights from my dashboard. He mirrors my movement leaning close...
