Spring Birding in the Camas Prairie. May 18, 2016. May 19, 2016. Ann, Emily, and I decided to put together an impromptu birding trip to see what birds were taking advantage of the beautiful Camas Prairie Marsh. We just so happened to plan our trip perfectly and the Camassia was in full bloom! Check out our list below and some of my favorite pictures. July 8, 2016. Every summer the ERC hosts their annual Environmental Outdoor EcoCamps. The Environmental Outdoor Adventure (EOA) camp is open to rising 5th and 6th graders and the Environmental Outdoor Leadership (EOL) camp is open to rising 7th-9th graders. Last week we ran our EOA camp, the first EcoCamp of the year and my first EcoCamp ever! Camp was a blast! Here are some of my favorite photos from the camp… Enjoy! Reflecting Back on 2015! December 31, 2015. January 9, 2016. It has truly been a beneficial experience working with such a wonderful community and I look forward to continuing this journey in the New Year! I really enjoyed our Growing Great Minds programs. We recently did one on climate change and sustainable living with the WRHS 10. Grade Global Perspective students and it was a blast! I look forward to more of those programs in the coming year. June 7, 2016. June 7, 2016. Last month, we finished up our two spring series. The first, our Spring Exploration Series, is a program the ERC has been facilitating for 18 years! We bring expert scientists from around the state to the valley to give a presentation to all 2nd and 3rd grade students in Blaine County (including public and private schools). The program was a great success and I really enjoyed visiting all the schools as a presenter and a host! Check out some photos from the two programs below:.
