There was over 325 cows all together and we got to feed them all. We got to ride on a hay wagon and it was fun. The cows were hungry. I like this cow a lot because he looks cool. These cows are heifers. That means they have not given birth to a calf. Monday, January 05, 2009. Just One Extra Hour . . . So much for resolutions. I love that girl!

Where the wild things are. Monday, March 31, 2008. Our family went to see the migrating snow geese a few weeks ago. We went to the local wetland bird reserve and were rewarded with a sight that we will not soon forget. "They" study the birds and can predict within minutes when they will land on this particular pond. We got there a few minutes early and listened to the birds in the surrounding reeds. Then, just as we had been told, lines of geese started flying overhead. Then they came back with more geese.

Where the wild things are. Friday, April 25, 2008. Last week we went to an incredible African drum and dance performance. We went to see Obo Addy. He is a Ghanaian drummer. The kids with amazed with the dancers. We went during a school performance so the whole auditorium was filled with elementary aged kids.
