The Queen's Arms: Me fail English? That's unpossible.

http://thequeensarms.blogspot.com/2008/05/me-fail-english-thats-unpossible.html

Juicy Bits of Nothing. Thursday, May 22, 2008. While the Babyboomers are rekindling their summer of love spirit as they ease into retirement, Generation Ipod is getting it's first at bat of the real world. The outcome? They struck out swinging in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded. Everybody gets a trophy. First place, last place - doesn't matter. Everybody is a winner, everybody gets to play and it doesn't really matter what happens as long as you have fun. We send them into the world with be...

The Queen's Arms: February 2008

http://thequeensarms.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html

Juicy Bits of Nothing. Thursday, February 28, 2008. Every Second, Brain Cells Die. This is by far the oddest, catchiest, funniest, worst/best PSA I have ever seen. It is supposed to teach people the early warning signs of stroke and how important it is to get help quick. Pretty noble a quest, indeed. But the larger question is how did this get passed? I mean who signed off on this and thought, yeah this is the right way to teach people about the early warning signs of stroke. Cartoons? Links to this post.

The Queen's Arms: Political Strategery

http://thequeensarms.blogspot.com/2008/05/political-strategery.html

Juicy Bits of Nothing. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Amidst jaunting words from Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Hill-dawg grasping at every last straw there is, and a clear-cut division within the democratic party, John McCain is using one of the oldest tricks in the book to secure his spot in the oval office: poking fun at himself, and doing it quite well. Second, the appearance is endearing and humbling. With the republican brand in trouble, McCain's character and image are extremely critical in terms of him ga...

The Queen's Arms: August 2006

http://thequeensarms.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html

Juicy Bits of Nothing. Thursday, August 10, 2006. Dr Z: Awesome commercial or strange German Man? The new ads by Diamler-Chrysler are, well, odd. I get that they want you to convey that the German Engineering has bettered the American-made cars/trucks. but is that really in line with the branding efforts of some of their lines? Chrysler is too weak of a company to be having an identity crisis. Links to this post. Monday, August 07, 2006. FX: A Crafty Network? So, I set the TiVO and checked for upcoming e...

The Queen's Arms: America Runs on Terrorism

http://thequeensarms.blogspot.com/2008/06/america-runs-on-terrorism.html

Juicy Bits of Nothing. Tuesday, June 03, 2008. America Runs on Terrorism. In America's futile effort to wipe out terrorism, we are searching for terrorism in every corner of the country. And apparently this search includes hidden symbols in advertising. Recently, Dunkin' Donuts pulled one of their national Internet spots because of backlash over a scarf television chef Rachel Ray was wearing while promoting the Massachusetts-based coffee chain. From a pure marketing mindset, this was the one and only cor...

The Queen's Arms: Just look to the heavens, and then buy some beer.

http://thequeensarms.blogspot.com/2008/03/just-look-to-heavens-and-then-buy-some.html

Juicy Bits of Nothing. Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Just look to the heavens, and then buy some beer. Well, when you run out of things to exploit on Earth, I guess the next logical place to go is the moon. We can't move there yet and create our very own Jetsonian society, but Rolling Rock is going to project its logo on the moon during the next full moon come March 21. Moonvertising. The way of the future. But other than name recognition, what is RR gaining? One last thing. Moonvertising? Rather than proje...

Thoughts fall around me – red, gold and green. I try to rake them now and then to keep my garden clean. Down To Earth or Larger Than Life? August 4, 2015. August 4, 2015. I watched two very different movies recently. Was the other movie I caught. What a movie! So, down to earth, or larger than life? Which did I prefer? Thought Ramblings | about thinking, teaching, learning, and technology

About thinking, teaching, learning, and technology. Time for a Reboot. September 20, 2014. This blog has been in existence for several years. Unfortunately it spent most of last year laying dormant on the web. I’ve decided to give it another try. Creating space to think out loud and seek ideas is an exercise worth time and effort.
