Dog domestication may have helped humans thrive while Neandertals declined | thoughtsondogthoughts

https://thoughtsondogthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/07/03/dog-domestication-may-have-helped-humans-thrive-while-neandertals-declined

This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. Dog domestication may have helped humans thrive while Neandertals declined. By all reasonable accounts dogs are the first domestic animals (Unless you count people -I’ll save that for a different post). Archaeologists had pegged the earliest evidence of canine domestication somewhere around 14,000 years ago, but geneticists recently revised that number drastically to somewhere in the range of 100,000 years. Not Rabbit | thoughtsondogthoughts

https://thoughtsondogthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/07/04/not-rabbit

This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. I honest-to-god thought it was a rabbit. Right up until the last moment, albeit too late, I thought it was a rabbit. Then, it was not a rabbit. Just like that. I do like the vet, though. She always remembers my name. I don’t know how to count, nor do I fully grasp the concept of money, but I’ve been told this was very expensive. Saving Lives | thoughtsondogthoughts

This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. Bishy fell through the ice one winter. Grandpa pulled him out by the scruff of his neck and as a result, was promoted to Adopted Human. Later, he’d guide Grandpa home during one of the worst snowstorms in history. Dozens of people were killed and its unlikely either would have survived without the other. Now I’m here. Whatever is true.noble.right.pure.lovely. admirable.excellent. or praiseworthy think about such things.". Monday, November 09, 2009. CAUTION: before you read this, I think it only fair, to let you know, that this post, will probably go.nowhere. However, it might give you some things to think about. Enjoy :D. Thoughts on Dirt

Essays and reflections in the midst of a very messy life. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. This post is a race. I have a story. Its a great story. But I am racing the baby nap. If you have never had children, try to imagine tying a gallon and a half of milk around your neck, eliminating most of your muscle tone in your abdominal area, setting your alarm to go off every two hours during the day and (in my rare and ever blessed case) once or twice at night and you have life with a two month old nursing child.

Thoughts on Down Syndrome

Thoughts on Down Syndrome. Thursday, August 14, 2014. All's Well That Ends Well. I woke up excited for Nick's day. He had been invited to participate in a fitness morning sponsored by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society at Angels Stadium. This two hour event included on the field. Acting more relaxed than I feel (. COME ON NICK, JUST PUT ON THE DARN SHIRT"),. Notice the sassy teenage look he gives me]. Once inside the stadium, Nick quickly puts on his T-shirt (? As the first participants ...

Kaleidoscope Thoughts | Just another WordPress.com site

Just another WordPress.com site. September 20, 2014. There comes a time when life gets wild. crazy. so much fills up on your plate that you don’t know how to balance it all. you don’t know where to guide your passion. But I guess that’s what happens when you are planning a wedding, looking for a job, working on a relationship, working on multiple projects, and trying to find your way around somewhere new. Ive noticed that this is just the rythym, but boy does it challenge us to find balance. Sometimes it...

Thoughts on Dressage

Building your horse’s confidence should always be the priority. June 11, 2014. Horses by nature are suspicious, claustrophobic, fleeing animals. This is how they evolved over thousands of years in order to survive. The horses we know today are semi-domesticated; they are not genetically the same as their ancestors, they have. Adapted physiologically and mentally to humans and their domesticated lifestyle. Ask yourself: Is my schooling session giving my horse confidence or lowering their self-esteem?

Thoughts on Dying | My attempt to spend five minutes every day preparing for death.

My attempt to spend five minutes every day preparing for death. Ways to Die in America. November 15, 2012. I’ve been reading a lot of Thought Catalog. Lately, and tonight I happened upon this article, “The Four Ways You’ll Probably Die”. What I expected was Thought Catalog’s usual humor and wit. What I got was so upsetting I felt nearly paralyzed with fear. What do you think? Is it possible to look on the face of death- its true, ugly face- without fear? Should that even be our goal? The Day of the Dead.
