She had become too weak to continue coming with me to rehearsals, so I had a lovely birthday dinner with her and my daughters and grandchildren before coming to choir. This scene presented itself to me on the drive. Luckily I had my camera in the car. It felt like a gift of beauty to me honoring her. She died a year later. Santa Rosa, CA 95407.

We are women with compassionate voices who sing a capella for people facing serious illness or death. In groups of two to five, we sing gentle songs from a variety of traditions to soothe, comfort, and bring peace. We sing in private homes, care facilities, and hospitals in the Napa Valley.
