Through My Garden Window

Through My Garden Window. Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Summer blew in today! Spring and I were having a stand off.who could wait the longest to get motivated. We've had a lot of rain, which is a blessing after last year's drought, the only thing lacking was sunshine. All my plants are really thick and lush, but the blooms are slow in coming. Remember how we always hope the peonies will be open for Memorial Day? Mine just started opening last week. My knockout rose isn't exactly knocking itself out this year.

Through My Garden Window: February 2012

http://throughmygardenwindow.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Through My Garden Window. Sunday, February 5, 2012. My last post was titled First Snow, and I'm hoping by calling this one Last Snow, that it will be the end of the weather we had yesterday. What a week it has been! In spite of having a cold, I spent time outside cleaning out the flower beds, planting lettuce seed, and taking down my Winter decorations. It looked kind of silly having ice skates, crafted snowmen, painted snow signs, and such in the yard while the flowers were beginning to sprout. Subscrib...

Through My Garden Window: March 2012

http://throughmygardenwindow.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Through My Garden Window. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Spring is officially here! The Pasque is beginning to bloom. Ground cover is waking up. My Autumn Joy Sedum as well as Black Jack are poking out. Last year, I planted a pink Knock Out rose. . . I'm glad to see it is greening up. I was really happy to see the Pink Double Delight Coneflower I planted last year is sprouting. What the heck is right! A walker in the sand and rocks forming a question mark. Judy Through My Garden Window. Nebraska, United States.

Through My Garden Window: September 2011

http://throughmygardenwindow.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Through My Garden Window. Friday, September 23, 2011. I'm going to borrow a theme from Jean. And call this post Favorite Things Friday. My favorite people, of course, are my family and friends. My favorite things are usually anything that involve gardening. I enjoy incorporating vintage finds into my flower beds. Here are just a few. In this photo, you can see my old hay fork that was given to me by my cousin, Cheri. Another favorite thing is my big Hosta! That girl can make gold out of gravel! This rust...

Through My Garden Window: Backyard Habitat Tour

http://throughmygardenwindow.blogspot.com/2012/06/backyard-habitat-tour.html

Through My Garden Window. Monday, June 18, 2012. I'll be taking my Mom over for her private tour and pick Cathy's brain a little more for my container I plan on adding fairies to. I'll let my pictures do the speaking. How sweet is this! Have a tiny bit of grass. For giving us the opportunity to share our passion! Judy Through My Garden Window. June 19, 2012 at 8:18 AM. Oh my kind of garden! But I hope there are a few birdbaths with water in them :). Judy Through My Garden Window. June 19, 2012 at 1:29 PM.

Through My Garden Window: December 2011

http://throughmygardenwindow.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Through My Garden Window. Saturday, December 3, 2011. There isn't a whole lot of color outside today. We have our first snow - maybe 4 inches so far. It was so nice earlier, with the quiet of snow. The snow blowers are humming now, although it is still snowing. The birds are visiting the bird feeders, and the squirrels are eating what is dropped. Nobody home . . . Is it Spring yet? MsGreen"thumb"Jean: June 2012

http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 25, 2012. Welcome to Bloomin' Tuesday the last week of June! A couple shots to show you how 'wild' it is! This shot shows my shed and the neighbor's garage. The tree by the old wheelbarrow is a curly willow that I started from a branch. The garden on the right of the shed is where the rusty wheelbarrow is covered with sweet peas. On the left is the grape vine climbing the roof and the ladder with the clematis. There is also a Wegalia, an azalea and a lime light hydrangea. This is the left si...

Mission Possible: March 2013

http://shanermission.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 29, 2013. Happy Birthday to the Relief Society. I tell my good husband that this is the land of vinyl banners! Everywhere we look, they are strung in trees, across fences, on the eaves of roof lines and on free standing poles. We are living in a land of plastic! All Relief Society activities in the Philippines involve three things:. Dancing and music [plus Karaoke]. Lots of laughter and fun. After the dance 'competition' [no winners or losers, just all having fun], they have a lunch. I ...

Friday, November 23, 2012. Gobble, Gobble and a little more. It is currently Friday afternoon in the Philippines and my family and friends 'back home' have just completed my favorite holiday of the year-THANKSGIVING! I love the gatherings, the food, the spirit of gratitude, the food, the traditions. the food, and did I mention, THE FOOD? Yes, I am a foodie! Elder Nay and Elder Lasay on the porch of their new apartment. Happy Elders for sure! And it was really good. They served us a 'soup' that I cann...

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. The beginning of the end. Ever since I was a little girl, I have heard the saying 'all good things must come to an end' and I never could have imagined the impact that saying would have. Kayleen at our 'farewell' July 31, 2011. Now I am here to tell you that having 10 days to finalize two years worth of experiences, friendships, responsibilities and STUFF is a HUGE task! Mission Possible: December 2012

http://shanermission.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 26, 2012. So this is Christmas. Have you ever had a song stuck in your head for days and as much as you have tried, you just can't quit singing it? Orlando was baptized on December 21st, and on the 23rd, he was given the Aaronic Priesthood after he was confirmed a member of the church. She now has a 'righteous priesthood holder' as her companion and she is thrilled! Orlando, Sionie, Elder Saragnaya and Elder Dagal at. Sister Agno is so thrilled to have a fresh orange for Christmas.

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Home again home again jiggity jig. It has been six weeks since we returned to 'our other life' and I cannot say the transition has been terribly smooth for me. Coming home to family was a wonderful experience-the adults have not changed significantly but the children.wow! I went to the temple. To that question I have one resounding answer:. There is NOTHING in this world that I would ever change about serving a mission-NOTHING! Our view from the top of the escalator. Last spring R...

Monday, February 25, 2013. Chic Boy and more apartment checks.two necessities! Following our meeting we always go to lunch and often end up in the same restaurant as the other missionaries. Chic Boy is one of our favorites and the Elders and Sisters always like it because they give 'unlimited' rice. We found them all gathered around and we enjoyed a lunch with our favorite Zone! Elder Reher, Elder Ballentos and Elder Landeed. We had to tease Elder Dagal who is always counting his money! This darling red-...

Mission Possible: May 2012

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Music, fabric and food.plus a little love! My mother raised me with the good old musicals of the 40's and 50's.she LOVED June Allyson, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Lena Horne and all of those great actors from that era. I grew to love music from the cradle and when I was five years old, my parents bought me my first piano! There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her and silently thank her for my love of music! Introduce them to music and help them gain the skill to pl...

Thursday, March 22, 2012. An awesome Zone Meeting, Happy Birthday Relief Society and a funeral. Every month we have a Zone Meeting instead of a District Meeting.what is the difference you ask? The 'Parking Lot Kids'. Many in her district have actually been able to create items and sell them, earning much needed income for their families. I know, it sounds dumb but the purses we have made are amazing! Sister Gaspar modelling my green purse and 'juice box' hat. My display-purses and bags made from recycled...

An ever evolving garden in zone 8a, near Dallas, Tx. Monday, September 22, 2008. Birds, birds everywhere. We had the most wonderful vacation in Florida this summer. My sister lives in this little pond community and my favorite thing was watching all the wildlife. It was amazing.
