http://sheasytime.blogspot.com/2009/02/art-o-matic.html
Thursday, February 26, 2009. Here is something that will get you thinking you are wasting your life away trying to decipher LOST and dressing your dog up like Big Gay Al. Has made a video! She's also painted a series of miniature canvases featured in the video. And amazingly enough, the paintings are based on miniature collages she created (which you can see more of here. If you go to the Art-O-Mat. The Crocker is FREE on Sundays before noon. So let's say maybe. Free art with good friends is always a goo...

Belly of the Goddess: February 2010
http://bellyofthegoddess.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Belly of the Goddess. Belly Dance, Birth, Goddess Spirituality, Women's Issues and occasional other random topics. Tuesday, February 02, 2010. The beginning of the earth's awakening to spring, Imbolc is one of my favorite of the pagan observed holidays. For over a month now, the daylight has been growing incrementally longer, and for a few weeks I have noticed that the local birds are making their spring calls. I also love that the symbology is non-denominational and suitable for any of the winter holida...

Belly of the Goddess. Belly Dance, Birth, Goddess Spirituality, Women's Issues and occasional other random topics. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. As I was driving down the road the other day, I was following a box truck, and noticed that the wind turbulance would cause leaves to drop from each tree as it passed by, making a lovely display of "leaf confetti". Float and Dance like confetti. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Links and Blogs I like. Art, Food and Motherhood.

Learning with Lachlan: August 2011
http://learningwithlachlan.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Somewhere Over the Rainbow. There is something about a rainbow that catches the eye of every child- and adult, too! Most obvious would be it's beautiful colours, but then there is a magical mystical side of the rainbow; wondering if you could ever find the end of it and would there be a pot o' gold? He actually asked me to take a picture of him in front of the rainbow. It didn't come out too well, but him posing for the camera for his special shot is priceless. Well yesterday ...

Learning with Lachlan: July 2011
http://learningwithlachlan.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. For this exploration, you need a light box or you can make on yourself if you have an old table, a light and some opaque perspex. The media for this is endless, but your goal is to find things that are translucent/transparent. A must is the primary colors: yellow, red, blue. Then add in whatever fun objects you find of varying colours. Here is a peek into our material box:. Once everything is gathered, let your child go to it! So this was all just a nice preliminary intro to our li...

Learning with Lachlan: November 2010
http://learningwithlachlan.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 23, 2010. The Not-So Incy, Wincy Spider. In Australia, the 'incy wincy' spider does not crawl up the water spout. When I think of our Australian spiders, 'incy wincy' just doesn't come to mind. I also think it will take a heck of a lot more than some rain to 'wash the spider out.' Nothing about these spiders are small. They are often big, hairy and sometimes jumpy and the end all for me (as if hairy wasn't enough! That is a bird! There's a bird in the web! I don't know what kind of spid...

Learning with Lachlan: Saying Good-bye: one journey ends, another begins...
http://learningwithlachlan.blogspot.com/2012/01/saying-good-bye-one-journey-ends.html
Saturday, January 7, 2012. Saying Good-bye: one journey ends, another begins. Remember to always find joy in the simple things. We have been busy, but the honest truth is I haven't been any busier than usual. Our wee one is a dream baby and she and Lachlan nap at the same time for the most part so I actually have quite a bit of time to get things done around the house and I could blog to my heart's content for at least a couple of hours. How lucky am I? Being respectful doesn't mean you tolerate negative...

Learning with Lachlan: A Spring Walk
http://learningwithlachlan.blogspot.com/2011/09/spring-walk.html
Thursday, September 1, 2011. Some firsts of spring. Today is the first day of September, the first month of spring! We have been waiting and waiting for its arrival. We welcome the warm rays of the sun kissing our face. When I stepped out the door this morning, I told Lach I was going to check the weather to see if it was going to rain. He followed behind me in his pajamas and said, "Nope! And it has been so far. We finished our fun by going down the slide, well I WENT down the slide. Lachlan decided...
