Til renovation do us part. Just another WordPress site. Countertop renovation with Rustoleum Transformations. January 23, 2013. This is the before picture. In this picture we had taped off the area and sanded the countertop in prep for applying the first coat. Next we put on the first coat of what looks like paint and sprayed on the flecks that came in the kit. The next day we scraped off the excess and sanded. Next we added beadboard for the backsplash. And finally we trimmed it out with 1×4 pine.
