Tuesday, March 20, 2012. According to the Miriam Webster Dictionary this is one of the definitions of the word diet:. Di·et noun ˈdī-ət. D : a regimen of eating and drinking sparingly so as to reduce one's weight. I have never liked that word, or the actions it seems to describe. How many times in your life have you said you were "going on a diet" only to fall off the wagon and regain the weight you lost? Or what about your friends? And the junk is creeping back in : and the exercise routine slip too....

Thursday, May 3, 2012. We seem to eat alot of chicken around here. Maybe it's because I'm not a huge fan of red meat and our daughter is right up there with me. The two exceptions to that is taco's. Anyways, I have noticed that when I'm finding recipes to Pin on my Pinterest Boards that they are either 1.) Chicken related or 2.) Dessert related. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. 1 box of white cake mix. Ingredients called for on cake box. 1 small box of jello, any flavor. And any white frosting of your choice (whether it be cool whip, store bought, or homemade butter cream it's up to you! I mixed the cake mix per the instructions on the box and added 1/2 of the box of jello (I used the tropical) combined it all together, poured it into the cupcake liners in the pan and baked per the box. Wednesday, January 18, 2012. I'm pretty sure this is why I'm thankful we are having a 'mild' winter. January 2009, see all that snow PACKED on the road that leads to the 'main' road? January 2010, yes there is a lake under all that snow, ice and dog prints in the snow! January 2011, another foot or two in our back yard. So far this January (and we had none before January)we've only had about 3 inches, just barely enough to cover the ground. I was so ready for a milder winter! West Virginia, United States.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013. As I find myself super frustrated with myself this week, I can’t help but wonder why. Why, as a society, do we (mostly as women, I think) put so much emphasis on a simple number? In 2009 I was fed up with my weight, my health, doctor’s orders etc. and decided I was going to do something about it.
