The Nellis News: July 2011
http://thenellis.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Keeping up with Nathan (and his parents). Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Little Nathan had his 1st surgery today. The surgery was quick as promised by his Dr. I went back with him to watch/comfort him when he went under anesthesia. Wow, that was hard. He was a champ as always, but I wish I could say the same for me! The docs and nurses got a kick out of him for sure. I looked back at him on the bed in the OR as I walked out - yeah, shouldn't have done that! He ate a huge banana, some cereal, and a bowl of oat...

The Nellis News: April 2011
http://thenellis.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Keeping up with Nathan (and his parents). Friday, April 22, 2011. Nathan had his 15 month appointment today. His growth has slowed down (as expected for this age) and he is going great. He took his shots like a champ (cried, but was soon running the halls making friends). Nate continues to be a great eater (but doesn't eat as much as he was eating), and bananas are his favorite food! When we get him out of the car after school, he signs for eat, and says, "nana. peeeze." Very cute. Here are his stats:.

After flushing said pee down the toilet (and Nathan saying and waving good-bye to it), he wanted "more! Posted by Katie Nellis. Darby is in Korea!

Monday, January 29, 2007. I am Julia Smith. This is me at Dance Revolution. I am wearing a hat and shirt that my Gran bought me. It is what you wear when you hip-hop dance. We had a party there and I am dressed as a hippy. These are the cool, grown-up looking sunglasses my mom gave me. I really like hats. I usually wear a different one every day. My favorite hat is my camouflage hat. Hats are fun to wear. Julia - What a great start! January 30, 2007 at 8:12 AM. I love your blog. Julia, you are such a coo...

Wordsmith: You don't want to get a D.
http://brookewheat.blogspot.com/2008/12/you-dont-want-to-get-d.html
Somewhere ages and ages hence, Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Friday, December 05, 2008. You don't want to get a D. I had a dilated eye exam today. Why is it that they have to start on a line you can't possibly see? Okay, can you read off those letters for me? I have to sheepishly admit that I can't. C'mon, help a girl out, build her confidence a bit. Start with the big E! Brian Regan is HILARIOUS! I love that clip.

Somewhere ages and ages hence, Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Friday, December 12, 2008. Does anyone else here hate Bratz dolls (and the whole Bratz franchise) like I do? Raise your hands. Excellent. Then you might enjoy reading this article. In which a mom decries the popularity of the over-sexualized dolls among young girls. Cabbage Patch and My Little Pony, that's where it's at. Well, that's where it. I loved that thing!

Wordsmith: He's a Champ
http://brookewheat.blogspot.com/2008/11/hes-champ.html
Somewhere ages and ages hence, Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Sunday, November 30, 2008. I am impressed, nay, inspired by the rendition of "We Are the Champions" that my upstairs neighbor so heartily sang this morning while getting ready in his bathroom. See, for him, it's been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise. But, he ain't gonna lose. No, he keeps on fighting 'til the end because he is the champion of the world.
