Tobacco Valley History blog. May 27, 2015. I mostly live in Eureka, Montana and write two blogs. One is for the Tobacco Valley Board of History, a group composed of the most remarkable older women who quilt weekly to raise funds to maintain the Historical Village. Tobacco Valley History blog. June 25, 2015. Shakespeare in the Parks. Before it gets too warm today though I wanted to mention some summer events that are actually happening at the Historical Village or to benefit the Village. On July 8, historian Hal Stearns. From Missoula will give a talk at the Village beginning at 6:30pm. This event is co-sponsored by Humanities Montana and free to the public. Another free and awesome event is this year’s play put on by Shakespeare in the Park. I mostly live in Eurek...

The Greatest Small Town in America. The Eureka Montana Quilt Show (or EMQS as locals refer to it) began in 2004 with a small talented group of volunteers. It has now grown into a nonprofit organization that puts on one of the biggest events in downtown Eureka that draws thousands of people annually. Hundre. Tobacco Valley History blog. May 30, 2016. It is official. We have stopped quilting for the summer as a group. Some of the women will. April 23, 2016. Roll that quilt one more time. Tobacco Valley History blog. July 31, 2015. Eureka Montana Quilt Show. Or that one that is so unusual to the one made of all different white fabrics? There must be a word when there is too much for your eyes to take in. That’s the Quilt Show. At some point during the day, take a break in the Historical Village Museum where it will be a tad cooler and with sounds and colors muted. There’s even a sofa there to sit on as you think about which quilt to vote for. July 8, 2015. Play it again, Sam.
