Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Wow, I was really sick this past week. I stood in my kitchen on Friday morning contemplating if I should reconsider going to Cincinnati. I ended up getting on the plane. Wednesday, September 30, 2015. September swings on out. Wow I hit last week hard, and I feel mighty privileged too. I was worried beforehand about whether I'd be able to participate in everything I signed up. Thankfully I've started feeling much better, so I've been able to do something. Things have not gotten better and only look to get worse. I actually felt quite depressed for all the students for a few days. Wednesday Sept 23rd: Today was the first day of my Spanish class at Rice. Yes! Valhalla Beer ...

Thursday, October 15, 2015. And a little bit more. Also, the property taxes (even after homestead exemption) ALONE on the house for 2015 are more than 3 times what I pay for an entire year's rent! We all agreed that if we had that kind of money to burn we would be buying seafront property in California or a ranch in the Hill Country. Juliet is coming to visit tomorow. We'll be busy.
