Chorea, or St Vitus' Dance, is the occurrence of short, purposeless, involuntary movements of the face, heads, hands and feet. Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk. Friday, 26 September 2014. Third year and the rest of second year. Block: Cardiology, week 4. Right So. What's been going on since February? Well I finished that community medicine placement and was launched into my first clinical rotations. Here's what I think of them so far. In general, I've found them all (with one notable exception) to be interesting and engaging, but I can't imagine doing any of them for a career. The description given here. Generally very interesti...

Not sure if this counts as a trigger but uh.if you don't want to read about miscarriages.don't read any further). It's the middle of the night and I have to be back at the hospital in less than 7 hours, but I can't sleep. I tried and I lay awake in bed for about 30 minutes, but I don't think I'll be able to drop off until I get this off my chest. Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Cart...

Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. Block: Obstetrics and Gynaecology, week 7. I am slowly turning into a (potential) doctor. It's finally beginning to hit me. The excuses are beginning to run out. The. It's quite a realisation. People will actually expect me to know shit and do shit. Not everything by any means, but still, some things. And I feel ever-so-very-slightly incompetent pretty much all the time. Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk. 25 August 2015 at 17:17. The Hall of Fame.

Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk: November 2013
http://takeupthystethoscopeandwalk.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk. Friday, 22 November 2013. End of pre-clinical medicine/Revision begins. There are two quite significant things which have been playing on my mind today:. The end of pre-clinical medicine. I'm also very happy that I (hopefully, assuming I pass) will never have to go to any more crappy small group work sessions again. Seriously, I really like everyone in my group, but it's been such a waste of time really - I could have worked much better through things at my own pace!

The Student Doctor Diaries. The day to day life of a medical student in London. Tuesday, 26 April 2011. All Engines Are Go. It's finally happened. I now just need my attendance sign ups and some of the junior doctor's signatures co-signed by a more senior doctor. When I got home I threw a lasagne in the oven (judge me for eating a r...

The Student Doctor Diaries: August 2010
http://studentdoctordiaries.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Student Doctor Diaries. The day to day life of a medical student in London. Monday, 30 August 2010. Today has been a hayfever hell day for me. I have sneezed so much that I'm quite surprised that my brain hasn't come out of my nose, or my eyeballs popped out of their sockets. I'm now trying to pack for elective (yes, I know I'm leaving it last minute), and I seem to be disturbing dust on everything so the sneezing has started again. I'm sure that once I go the next year will be a whirlwind. I was int...

The Student Doctor Diaries. The day to day life of a medical student in London. Thursday, 31 March 2011. Usually I'd moan about being kept waiting around on the wards or at outpatient clinics. It seems that waiting around is destined to become a big part of my life. Now I'm being left waiting around at home. By the estate agents. The estate agent was supposed to be here 15 mins ago. I need to pee. I need to pee really really badly. Wednesday, 30 March 2011. The End is in Sight. On a lighter note, I worke...
