On the day after Christmas (Boxing Day in Great Britain and most of her former colonies except the U.S.) we drove out to War Eagle Mill. I'm not sure why. I went along to just kill some time by taking a few pictures. I think there was some shopping for stone ground corn involved. This old building is on the site, also.

About a month ago we had a beautiful, blue sky day so we took a walk down to Ritan Park to get some exercise. We stumbled onto 9th Chaoyang Culture Festival. Tom & Marg Walker have lost their home in the Texas Fire and need your help!
Create a Fundraising Page. As a result of the Texas Fire Disaster, Tom and Marg Walker, both in their 80's, had to evacuate their house leaving their beloved 14 Finnish Spitz behind in their kennels. For 3 days they were unable to return to their home and feared the worst for the dogs. A worldwide vigil of prayers was held yesterday that God would spare the dogs. Tom said "I would rather lose my home and everything in it than even one of my dogs". Their house was burned to the ground! The house is gone.

Maria Haigh's Fulbright experience in Kyiv, Ukraine. Thursday, March 29, 2007. Tom and I have presented at the international conference "Gumanitarni Problemy Stanovlennia Suchasnoho Fakhivczia" (8th International Conference for the Professionalization and Modernization of the Humanities and Social Sciences) at the National University of Aviation in Kyiv.
