I recently finished reading Christopher Hitchens' final book, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything. Twelve Books, May, 2007. After all, each of the world's major religions includes in its canon some version of the most basic of all ethical teachings: Treat your neighbor in the way that you would wish him to treat you.
