The house is in the same place it always was. The new garage went up just before Christmas and the roof was finished while we were in NZ. It looks pretty good. The whole of the back of the house looks much better. The cat, Custard, is thriving. She is not very big, but she makes up for it in friendliness. She eats, she scratches and she chases things. Pretty much what cats do. Photo shows her in neighbour's garden under a rhubarb leaf. The attic has not changed much, but I do now have a (sad?

Having enjoyed our brief trip to Niagara last year, this year Harry and I decided to pop over to Canada. As Vancouver is about as far away as one can get, we thought that would be an ideal place. Additionally I read about the West Edmonton Mall ( westedmall.com. And decided to combine the two. We then flew back through Vancouver to Victoria on Vancouver Island, and spent two nights there. Went whale watching and actually saw one, before heading up north in our rented Jeep. It's a whole bunch of country".
