http://tomhikesthewhites.blogspot.com/2013/07/mt-flume-4328-mt-liberty-4459-1748.html

Sunday, July 14, 2013. Mt Flume - 4328' and Mt. Liberty - 4459' (17/48). Me, not wanting to seem like a pansy, brushed his question off assuring him we knew what we were about to do. We left and drove a few hundred feet up the road to the trail-head. The parking lot was already filling up - looked like many people decided to take advantage of the nice weather and hike. We officially started our hike 9:15AM. Paloma dominating the slides! View over to Liberty. Summit of Mt. Liberty. What a small world!

Tom Hikes the Whites: Mt. Cabot - 4170' (26/48)

Monday, April 14, 2014. Mt Cabot - 4170' (26/48). This is to you, Mt. Cabot! You may be wondering why this particular blog post is starting off with a pixelated photo of my middle finger at the summit of Mt. Cabot. Maybe you aren't, however you will soon find out! Race, a pentathlon of running, cycling, kayaking, hiking and skiing in the area. No chance we were going to find parking anywhere near the trail-head. Time for plan B. Packing down the trail. Fisher Cat in the distance. A bit further on we enco...

Tom Hikes the Whites: Mt. Hancock South - 4319' & Mt. Hancock North - 4420' (15/48)

http://tomhikesthewhites.blogspot.com/2013/07/hike-11-mt-hancock-south-4319-mt.html

Monday, July 1, 2013. Mt Hancock South - 4319' and Mt. Hancock North - 4420' (15/48). Since NH had experienced similar weather to us for the few days prior (RAIN! Summit of Hancock South. While this section was only one half mile in length, the elevation gain was significant. The trail was heavily eroded and required you to grab on to rocks, branches, and the ground at many points. The humidity combined with the steep climb caused sweat to soak through my shirt and drip from my face. Mt Hancock, North.

Tom Hikes the Whites: Mt. Field - 4340' & Mt. Tom - 4051' (3/48)

http://tomhikesthewhites.blogspot.com/2012/06/hike-2-mt-field-4340-mt-tom-4051.html

Monday, June 11, 2012. Mt Field - 4340' and Mt. Tom - 4051' (3/48). Trail-head near the Crawford Notch Depot. On Sunday, June 10. Summit of Mt. Field. Summit of Mt. Tom. Little did she know that a group of two older women and a man were sitting down right there, and one of the older women replied "oh realllllyyyy? My make-shift bug mask. Didn't work. Trails: Avalon, A-Z, Mt. Tom Spur. Total Time (Including Breaks): 5:00. Distance: 7.2 Miles. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mt Hancock, North.

Tom Hikes the Whites: North Twin - 4761' South Twin - 4902' (39/48)

http://tomhikesthewhites.blogspot.com/2015/09/north-twin-4761-south-twin-4902-3948.html

Monday, September 14, 2015. North Twin - 4761' South Twin - 4902' (39/48). Paloma Mapping the Route. The trail-head was easy to find, but that was only because we made a correct guess as to where Haystack road began. There is no sign whatsoever marking this road but we somehow took the correct turn - keep this in mind if you are heading up there. Even though we arrived relatively early there were already a number of cars in the parking lot - it was, after-all, Labor Day weekend. Great Lookout Below Summit.

Tom Hikes the Whites

Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Owl's Head - 4025' (40/48). We set off on our adventure on Saturday morning at around 6:30AM. The ride up 93 was uneventful, per usual, until we reached the Concord, NH area and saw the remains of about two dozen pumpkins that appeared to have fallen off a truck earlier that morning. Welp, guess that was as good of a sign as any that autumn is here (my favorite season)! Summit of Owl's Head! We encountered a couple of hikers on their way back and they offered us encourageme...
