That she can use for color in her fiber art. Local dye materials she has gathered and tried include rhubarb root, black walnut, sumac, goldenrod and other garden plants and prairie wildflowers. From Antiquities to the 21st Century Natures Gentle Colors The Traveling Exhibit! My trip to France. Silk dyed in indigo one dip and over dyed with osage wood shavings 3-26-15. David gave me some apricot wood shavings that I used on silk …3-28-15 and earlier I used queen anns lace over dyed with indigo 9-7-14. Dyed with Pomegranate skins and pits 3-2-15. Two pieces dyed with queen anns lace -2014. Osage chips from a local wood turner 3-26-15. Pernambuco and Fe 4-2-15. These were all done in spring 2015.

Judy has been a fiber artist for most of her life and each new day brings new eyes and new inspiration. The needle and thread has genetic roots in her life. Her grandmother turned every piece of cloth in her home into a living history. In 2002 the needle and thread began weaving through Judy’s unique jewelry and later the bindings in her book arts.
