Ern in Tokyo: August 2015
http://tokyoern.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Life and Living in Tokyo, Japan. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Tonari no Shokudo [Kujira So] / となりの食堂「くじら荘」. Last week as I was trying to decide where to eat for lunch, I remembered this small cafe recently opened in our neighborhood. It is called Tonari no Shokudo [Kujira So]. Their specialities are hotdogs. I'm not sure if I would really call these hotdogs though. The sausages aren't in the buns, more like just topped on top of the buns. I ordered their chili dog, with a coke. Chili Dog / チリドッグ. Time for ...

And a couple of torn ligaments in Pondicherry, India, taking in sights. And scents and colors juxtaposed unlike anywhere else I’ve been. And I can’t wait to go there again (soon, I hope). Why do I travel? Well, for these reasons – but also a whole lot more. The many Liberal Arts reasons go without saying.] I ...

Musings on music, travel, books, and life from Southeast Asia. July 30, 2015. Okay, all of these girls aren’t from Pa-O villages, in fact perhaps none of them hail from anywhere outside of Shan State’s Tat Ein village, but judging from the eager manner in which they donned traditional Pa-O outfits, a few of these girls certainly appreciate the black-themed Pa-O style. And just like the monks, these girls are delightful company and absolutely love to have their photo taken. Smile and say Mingalaba!

Life and Living in Tokyo, Japan. Thursday, January 21, 2010. Nissin Ippudo Hakata Tonkotsu / 日清 一風堂 博多とんこつ. You gotta love a country that takes its instant noodles so seriously. And with a lot of well-known ramen shops also getting in on the act, sometimes its hard to choose which one to try. Today, I decided to go with the Hakata Tonkotsu produced by Ippudo. I haven't been to the actual ramen shop but it's almost always listed in the top 10 in any ramen book guide. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
