Instead she is fraternizing with the enemy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Like my blog on Facebook by clicking here and choosing "LIKE". Ohio, United States. Idle Musings: It wouldn't kill you to skip a day
http://thepunkinblog.blogspot.com/2015/08/it-wouldnt-kill-you-to-skip-day.html
Thoughts on politics, books, culture, the world around us and the stupidity of others. August 3, 2015. It wouldn't kill you to skip a day. I participated in a lively discussion about showering. Today on a friend's Facebook. What struck me the most about it was not the whole back-and-forth of how often it's appropriate to shower, but how many of the posters considered a daily (or even twice daily) shower as a necessity. And how very arrogant and wasteful that is. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, February 23, 2015. The frost on the window in the early morning. Simply frost, and yet it looks like trees in a foreign landscape. Makes me want to write more science fiction. Sunday, February 22, 2015. An aside: My father, Kirk Willis, was an actor and director. The word play. Has been part of my life since my earliest memories. Thursday, February 19, 2015. Sarah Willis Writes...: March 2013
http://sarahwilliswrites.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 14, 2013. Another part of the story. At the age of twelve, I’m at school in the cafeteria when our neighbor approaches the table. I turn to my friend and say, “My father’s dead. I got to go. See you tomorrow.”. I will put this scene into many of the stories I will write, over and over again, until I am only a character. 8221; he asks. I shrug. I’m good at shrugging. “I take off a full grade for every three misspelled words.”. Is it okay, otherwise? I find a place called Friends Free School.

Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Book review of Schroder by Amity Gaige. I loved this book! Http:/ www.cleveland.com/books/index.ssf/2013/01/amity gaiges schroder a haunti.html. Sunday, January 27, 2013. On art and money. Today I’m only going to ask questions. Does it make sense to struggle to make your art a business? What happens when you have to find a way to make a profit? Do you fall less in-love with your art? Do you need to ask what it’s worth? I've met a few authors who produce what I might term comm...

Idle Musings: New York Magazine's 35 Women
http://thepunkinblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/new-york-magazines-35-women.html
Thoughts on politics, books, culture, the world around us and the stupidity of others. July 27, 2015. New York Magazine's 35 Women. One of the biggest reasons the 35 women who have now publicly spoken out against Bill Cosby were marginalize and ignored for so long is that we have a predisposition in this country to assume that a "nobody" accusing a celebrity of something heinous is just out for herself. She wants money or fame or both and has made up a terrible story for attention. Now we see 35 women.

Dragons Meow: Poetry and Paying Attention. Essays, poems, images and whatever comes to mind. Monday, January 28, 2013. In January, I was lucky to spend 2 weeks in Costa Rica with a biology class from Westfield State University. Dragon's Meow: Poetry & Paying Attention: Poetry Garden Party, or “Forever is composed of Nows...”

Dragons Meow: Poetry and Paying Attention. Essays, poems, images and whatever comes to mind. Saturday, August 30, 2014. Poetry Garden Party, or “Forever is composed of Nows.”. If there's poetry in heaven, I think it looks like the garden party I attended a few weeks ago. Walking from the sidewalk into a yard artfully scattered with sculpture, paintings, musicians, and refreshments I thought—I've come to the Elysian Fields. The sun shown gently and the hosts welcomed everyone generously. Echinacea, barley...

Dragons Meow: Poetry and Paying Attention. Essays, poems, images and whatever comes to mind. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Finding Poetry at the Music Festival. Last weekend I was at the Green River Festival, enduring the hot sun for the sake of some awesome live music. I’ve been going to the festival for years and it’s the main way I either discover or develop a deeper appreciation for all kinds of musical artists. This year, my favorites were: for dancing,. For lyrical melodiousness,. Made this found poem.
