Final Major Project

Sunday, 7 June 2009. For my Final Major Project I first set out to design the graphics for a coffee shop as my major brief after Easter. At the beginning of the project it dawned on me that soon I would have to find a job somewhere but I had no idea where there was to work other than Gratterpalm. Alongside finding companies I began to work on Mituyu. Pin down what it was I wanted from the logo so tried lots of different solutions none of which I could make a decision on. I took them to various crits.

Wednesday, 3 June 2009. Boots Mid-price Range Finished. These are the final resolutions for the mid-price range. I have used a small amount of the blue that I used on the expensive range to connect all the ranges together. I think it uses the right amount of both colours to give a mid-price feel. I have printed the labels on transparent sticker paper so the product can be seen inside the bottle. Wednesday, 3 June 2009. Boots Expensive Range Finished. I wanted the POS Stand for this range to show of the full range. I think the tiered idea does this well. I used the skin colour on the surface to introduce a bit of colour. I included a back stand to this POS to promote the brand across the store. Stamattina ho ricevuto l’email di un avvocato che vuole le mie coordinate bancarie per accreditarmi qualche milione di dollari sul conto: me li ha lasciati in ereditá un lontano parente che avevo nel Togo, pensate un po’…. Ho chiesto a mia madre, ma non se lo ricorda. Per i miei genitori, i Togo sono quei biscotti ricoperti di cioccolato che tanti anni fa non mancavano mai nella nostra dispensa. Tuesday, 16 December 2008. This is the product range for this brief. I have done a carrier bag, gift box, swing ticket and receipt holder. Everything will be lined with cotton wool on the inside to give it that extra special feeling. I really like this business card. It looks cute and I like the typeface they have used. An example of a full set of merchandise working together. I like the simplicity of the colours used and the padlock. . This could work well as a label inside the clothes.

Tuesday, 16 December 2008. This illustration is going to go around the shop. It is a contrast to the bold blocky typeface I have used for the signage. These are my final signs that will go around the store. I decided to use black and white because I think they will stand out better in the shop against the bright colours of the clothes. Tuesday, 16 December 2008. These are my finals for this brief. I decided to change the brief to promoting events throughout the year at Revolution. I wanted to simplify it right down and have the minimum amount of information needed on the poster. I am happy with the finished product. This has exactly what I have been doing for this brief on it. I like the typography on this and the simplicity of the design. This shower gel is made to look like a drip. It would look strange hung up in your bathroom. I saw this bar of chocolate in Sainsburys and thought it was funny.
