POLEMIC & PARADOX: DEMOCRATIC SUBTERFUGE
http://www.polemicandparadox.com/2015/08/democratic-subterfuge.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. To no ones surprise, Prime Minister Harper pulled the plug on Sunday throwing the nation into the longest election campaign since 1872. The minimum number of days, and until now, the standard was a 37-day campaign. This one will be 79 days! This is the same Prime Minister that has been using tax dollars to promote the party via the ubiquitous "economic action plan" promos for the past six years which have cost you - $750 million. The disingenuousness of the statement is further a...

My Blog. My Rules. My little bit of Paradise. March 23, 2014. Jethro Tull, Me and Paul. 1984 seems like a lifetime ago. For many it is. 30 years. Jesus, where does the time go? I wasn’t yet 20, carefree and really naïve - truth be told. Party hardy; university would take care of itself. I had a girlfriend, a driver's licence and I could buy beer. Living the dream. It’s a wonder I’m still here, I was that fucking stupid. And we all had a favourite album. Zeppelin III. With Jethro Tull, for me, Benefit.

My Blog. My Rules. My little bit of Paradise. October 25, 2014. Paul's new digs.and getting it right. Sometimes, governments get it right. A cynical view perhaps, but when the electorate seemingly continues to get the short end of the stick – or worse yet, get poked in the eye with that stick – it’s hard not to be a cynic. Or angry. Years of broken promises, corruption, endless self-serving photo ops – I could go on - tend to do that. There is no question that our population is aging and the number of pe...

I saw some robins at Christmas and thought it would be a lovely idea to take a robin shape and embroider it. The birds are made from hand dyed felt but you could easily use hand made felt. I love playing with colours and you can use all your colourful left over scraps of felt to good effect. Wouldn't they make super bunting! Sunday, 2 February 2014. Needlefelting at Bicton College.
