自然豊かな農山漁村から中山間地域、そして華やかな都市域にいたる まち の空間は、 道路や橋などの構造物、建築物、公園 広場などによって構成されています。 また、これらの学問分野を横断的にとらえるべく、都市計画や都市工学の分野が発展してきましたが、 その学問フィールドは都市域 特に大中都市 が中心となっており、小都市や農山漁村はいまだ多くの課題が残されています。 今後の まち のあり方を考えていくためには、土木 建築 都市工学などの知見を駆使した空間づくりに加え、 空間づくりを進めるための制度づくりや住民 行政の合意形成を図るための社会環境づくりが重要です。 このように、私たちの暮らす まち のあり様は実に多様であり、そうした まち をつくる、まさに まちづくり を進めるためには、 多面的 学際的なアプローチが必要です。 そこで、 まちづくり に携わる総合性の高い技術者を養成すべく、土木、 建築および造園等の知見を踏まえ、地域 都市空間を総合的につくりあげるための学科として、 まちづくり工学科 を設立します。 まちの成り立ち 文化 歴史性など を科学的に分析できる技術.
