Oda town was once a town in Fukui prefecture. In February 2005 Echizen town was born, merged with Asui-cho, Echizen-cho, Miyazaki village of Niu County, and it ceased to exist. The history of Oda Town is said to have started from the Jomon Period about 10,000 years ago, considering the excavated stone ax.
