Tracie's Journal

Sunday, April 12, 2015. Just got back from hearing the Bozeman Symphony perform Ode to Joy - Beethoven's 9th. Amazing. Is the only word that comes to mind. Bozeman definitely has its share of talented people and the orchestra that perform is no exception. I've always been a great fan of Beethoven's 9th anyway and this was such a neat way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love. Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above. Joshua Bell is ...

Tracie's Journal: October 2013

http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 18, 2013. Missoula Festival of the Book. A week ago this time, I was having a great deal of fun with a one-day writer's conference and a weekend book festival in Missoula, MT. As a part of Montana's ACFW group MT Pages, my hubby and I were asked to teach at the one day writer retreat. Jim taught on research since that's his field of knowledge and I spoke on brainstorming before breaking into groups to practice my tips. We had so much fun. We had two tables of books for sale and met a lot ...

Tracie's Journal: Blue Jeans Friday

http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2015/02/blue-jeans-friday.html

Friday, February 13, 2015. I don't know about you, but I love blue jeans. This was probably born out of my being a teenager in the 70's when jeans were the standard of living for most of us teens. But, since I write historical novels, I thought it would be fun to share some of the history of blue jeans on this Friday - which for many offices is a casual dress day. Levi Strauss is credited with the actual creation of what would become blue jeans. So why were jeans created? Another interesting side note is...

http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 11, 2014. It's been a long time since I posted to this blog and for that I do apologize. I'm been traveling quite a bit for book signings and speaking events and have met so many wonderful people. This weekend I was in Libby, Montana to speak at the the Libby Baptist Church. Libby is in a beautiful area of Montana. Here are just a few photos. So thank you Libby Ladies - you made me feel very special and it was wonderful spending time with you. Tracie's Journal: April 2014

http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 20, 2014. I'm in the process of redoing my office. Because of some of my physical issues, it's been important for us to downsize and declutter. My dear hubby and I used to share an office - but he's a pack rat and I needed more space so he moved his office to the shop. I love him for that. It's not done yet - but hopefully next week I'll have a photo of the finished product. I know I'm gonna be a very productive author in this beautiful new setting. Saturday, April 12, 2014. The day was bea...

Tracie's Journal: January 2015

http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 25, 2015. The Contagiousness of Complaining. Years ago I worked in an office with a lot of other women. In fact, I worked in several such offices and one thing was always common. If one woman started complaining about something—everyone else joined in with their complaints. It was as if the very act of complaining was contagious. One of the worst places I've seen for complaining—a place where it spreads terrible damage—is in the church. Because that’s the very place Satan wants to c...

Tracie in Charge!

Sunday, March 16, 2014. Reaching for Heaven is what I'm on earth to do. Once, I got to go to Hawaii. It was cool. Like ice cold cool. But really, quite pleasantly warm. I had the absolutely amazing opportunity to join 14 wonderful souls on a spring break trip to Oahu for six (turned into seven) days! To be read in a british accent, something very common on our trip, thanks to Aaron pronounced A-A-ron and his England mission heritage). These songs were the soundtrack. OneRepublic - I Lived. Fyi, I have no...

Tracie Perkins | A professional blog of my online journalism

A professional blog of my online journalism. December 9, 2010. For this assignment I created a Soundslides. Project by myself. This assignment helped me to combine photojournalism and audio while working independently of others. You can see my individual Soundslides project here. For this project, I chose the topic of flyball. Flyball is a team sport for dogs. I went to a flyball competition last summer and thought it was interesting, so I thought it would be a fun story. While editing the interview with...

I'm so excited to have you join me on my porch in Montana for a cup of coffee and a momentary visit. I often say that living is Montana is a little piece of heaven, so pull up a chair and enjoy the view. Has been a ministry and joy for me. My goal is that every book I write- whether it's a historical novel. For a series, a standalone contemporary novel. Or a nonfiction book. Would entertain, educate, and encourage each reader in whatever way God sees fit. This is my mission field and passion. Without you...
