This shelter has a beautiful view and an indoor fireplace. Im. Sleeping by the fire and looking at the sparkling city lights below. Water is scarce and for the first time in days, Im able to drink. Sunday, October 19, 2008. 9483 miles @ Allentown HC shelter, Hamburg, PA. A beautiful day of hiking and an awesome view at Bake Oven Knob. Climbed the Knifes Edge ledges and saw lot of turkey vultures flying. Around. Ate dinner at the Blue Mtn B&B near the trail and then. Roadrunner headed home and I continued on the trail. Im enjoying a big, roaring fire and am about to go to bed.
