This year is flying by.it's all ready time to head to Boulder City, NV for the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge. This is a great family event with lots of stuff to do including a Kid's Que contest, kids zone full of fun activities, a beer garden, great BBQ meals for sale, a vendor's market and more. Be sure to come out on Saturday to check it all out.

Friday, October 31, 2014. We are celebrating our state's 150 anniversary of statehood today, 10/31/2014. All year, there have been many events around the state to commemorate this event. We are celebrating this day at the Logandale Fall Festival. It's an officially sanctioned event celebrating Nevada's statehood. We'll be part of the barbecue contest going on out there Saturday. Come on out, there lots going on including a car show, carnival, lots of bluegrass music, trunk or treating and more.

We rescued him when our neighbor said she wasn't taking her grandson's dog with her when she moved. They said he was three, but he's too small and still chews up stuff. He likes to play fetch. Enjoys the kiddie pool with Cassy. I think even more than Cassy. They both had a great time at Meadow Lake. Love the smile on Cassy's face!

This year, we decided to ride the Verde Canyon Rail Road in Clarkdale AZ. The river runs really clear.we could see fish in it. Train's destination is Perkinsville.

On our way to Cottonwood, AZ we traveled US89A over Mingus Mtn. One hundred fifty eight turns in 12 miles is what the t-shirts in Jerome boast. All I know is it's a lot of turns and I was starting to feel a bit dizzy and was glad to get out of the truck. Nothing is on level ground in Jerome. Quite a wait for the Haunted Hamburger.

I hate to waste that PTO time doing nothing so we headed to Arizona to ride the Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale. We saw 3 bald eagles.or the same one three times.lol.
