Forgive me Strava for I have sinned; it has been 10 days since I last ran, and in that time I have found excuses in the weather and sore legs, along with drinking too much beer and eating too many ‘yellow’ foods. I thought since this will be my third blog here on NZ Trail Run, I’d best be doing my introductions and get you up to speed. So…. These are the tales.

Slogging my way towards to the Blue Lake in Rotorua, but as it turns out it was nearly four months ago (and two months since my last blog post). In contrast it felt like the Hillary event was ages away, there would be heaps of time to get ready. Well surprise Brent, it’s in a week! And you’re not ready. February 17, 2017.
