A few bass were showing on the surf beaches here and there but I didn't see anything exceptional and to be fair I never really got out and had a good crack at the sea-trout either. Fenit Pier and Island. Tides and the Moon. He fished baits really short all day 20yds and his patience was rewarded when he picked up a lovely 30lb stingray. After a great scarp during which the fish buried him on more than one occasion he finally managed to get it to pose for a picture. Have a look at it here. But Rob certainly is! Fenit Pier and Island. Tides and the Moon. This site was set up by Liam O'Connor after he moved to Tralee to work with the ESB in 2002. He was a keen fisherman from an early age and living so close to so many fishing marks was his dream. Tragically Liam passed away in the summer of 2009 while on a fishing trip in Western Australia. Otherwise the site is as he left it except for this note and the map on the marks page which we can't seem to get working so enjoy and happy fishing. How has the site changed?
