ASK Resource Center has been Iowa’s Parent and Training Information Center (PTIC or PTI) since 1998. PTIs are also sometimes known as “Parent Centers.” There is at least one Parent Center in each state and U.S. territory. Some states have more than one depending on population size. The Families of Iowa Network for Disabilities (FIND) project at ASK is a social networking project that empowers families of persons with disabilities by connecting them to one another and allowing them to network with each other. FIND is online at www.findfamilies.org. FIND is free to join. The site is funded by a grant from the Iowa Department of Education and managed by ASK Resource Center. This grant allows for membership to remain free to members.

Through it, ASK collaborates with existing networks to ensure postsecondary transition training and information for families is provided equitably statewide.
