The TWIG was the Transition Whatcom Initiating Group - the folks that came together and drove forward the first stage of the Transition process here in Whatcom County. They then designed their own demise - meaning they organized a process whereby the members of Transition Whatcom were able to participate in the development of an ongoing organizing structure. And then selected leaders for the next phase of our work. We call these new leaders The TWOG.
